I mean Vegas treated BTS as they deserved which is actually not that common even in Korea.

Jungkook sings a lot about heartbreak. Ain’t nothing more RnB than that.

Jungkookie is a sweetheart. I hope they all get put in the same station at the very least.

I care a lot about lyrics, even more than the actual music. It’s why I like BTS and have a hard time getting into other kpop groups. The lyrics of most Kpop songs make me want to vomit. It also kills brain cells. Which is why I feel so much dumber since I started listening to kpop. My standards have also fallen a lot.

Out of all the claims of looking like JK, this is the only one that I agree with. There are slight differences but it’s eerily similar. Usually pics aren’t accurate due to manipulation and angles but even on video it really looks like fetus JK in a wig. Here is the video from the program.

Kookie is kooking up some great music in the studio. Glad he is outside in the sun and no longer protecting his eyes and yelling about the pain when the light gets turned in in his dark house.

lol, we don’t even have Ddaeng available outside of SoundCloud. That is Big Hit’s biggest failure in regards to overlooked music.

We don't need anyone acting like Kpop fans and buying a hundred copies of the same album, leading to a bunch of extra waste, just so they can brag about how rich they've made a complete stranger. Thanks, but no thanks. Ironic that you would claim I'm the one acting as if I'm an artist, given the circumstances.
If you want a seat at the table, take a seat. Don't stand there waiting for us to hand you one. No one is owed a seat. That's all I'm saying.
Yeah I’m not sure who you think you are speaking on behalf of but it isn’t anyone with any sense. Apparently you missed the part where the Music Industry is a business and not a high school talent show run by pompous elitists with laughable pretentiousness. The US music industry is dying so it’s their loss. No matter how hard they gatekeep, other countries are catching up and will overtake them. American music is getting worse, so bad that they can’t even make songs longer than 1 minute. What a joke. That’s more like jingles than music.

I know right, thank god for radio. Sales are a thing of a pass, doesn’t reflect popular music anymore
Radio never did either. Payola and radio are together forever.

If you don't want to listen to American artists, no one is forcing you. Stop listening. I promise we won't notice. But don't expect us to roll out the red carpet for every foreign act you fall in love with just because. The fact that we've managed to culturally colonize most of the world doesn't make us privileged, it makes us savvy. We wield that sort of power through our actions. It wasn't simply handed to us on a silver platter. If you want similar pull, you must work for it. Don't expect us to just give it to you. That's not how we operate.
You're not going to respond to the thought experiment because it made you realize I'm right, so of course you have no response. Makes sense.
Are you seriously using the “ we” as if you are an American artist? American artists are privileged because they get put on Spotify playlists of countries that don’t even listen to them then they are proclaimed as global stars 😂🤣😂🤣, what a effing lie. They are popular in the US and maybe the west. Honestly as an American, I stopped listening to American artists approximately 10 years ago because the music on the radio was bad. I couldn’t stand it. Only BTS made me care about music again, otherwise I wouldn’t know or care about music in general at all. What you seem to be missing is that BTS have demand in the US and it’s proven every single time they sell out stadiums and sell enough to get multiple platinum records from the RIAA. So no one is waiting for the red carpet roll out. We just want a seat at the table that was earned for BTS.
It’s funny how kpop fans are fighting BTS fans on behalf of a xenophobic industry. What’s even more funny is that this industry is sabotaging themselves by pushing for music spamming that make little to no money instead of pushing for sales by trying to motivate US music fans to act more like kpop fans. They would make far more money if Billboard focused only on sales. It would force US pop fans to buy if they want their faves on top. Taylor Swift is smarter because that’s what she did.

oh boy this is not a good look and omg what were ya thinking buy the same song gazillion times man
Lol, did Billboard brainwash you? They making up their own excuses and doing what they want.

Surprised this thread is still going. Child labor (no matter what kind) is never a good thing. Life is cruel so sometimes it exists for a reason, such as children having no adult support thus they have to earn their own food and shelter. Other than that, IMO a child should never be working a full time job. It’s why child labor laws exist. If fans weren’t so creepy and selfish they wouldn’t encourage the debut of underage idols. I personally don’t understand why an idol needs to debut before turning 18 (or whatever the legal age is). They can wait and focus on their health and education/skills. I honestly don’t even like underage trainees. If success relies on being underage then that tells me that the age of the idol is more important than anything else. Which means the fans supporting this are creeps. Just lets kids live because success can happen at any age.

#5 at Pop is a really great achievement for any artist? And also it was Top 10 for ALL formats, I think #9 with 70m+ audience at its peak. That's a very high number for any artist and for that year.
I don't disagree BTS overall should be played more, of course. But a lot of progress was made -- until the UMG switch/hiatus announcement. Sadly, I think most fans now think they literally have not received airplay at all, which is nuts. I saw people suggesting NewJeans gets more airplay than BTS ever has which is just hilarious...
I just wish people could speak factually while also acknowledging it IS an UPHILL battle.
You are looking through the lens of a kpop fan. So yes BTS got More playlisting and radio plays (except BP) than any other kpop artist. You are conveniently missing the part where BTS has 6 #1 hits and Dynamite broke the record for the longest song on hot 100 while Butter was #1 for 10 weeks. Compare BTS to other groups who had the same accomplishments and then compare their radio plays and playlisting. That is the fair comparison. Then you will know and see the discrepancy and realize that BTS got and continue to get significantly less and what’s the reason for that? Hopefully you see what ARMY is talking about or your biased lens continues to blind you to the truth.
As for NJ, organically they never should have bern put on TTH. Especially with Korean songs. Explain that because your argument against BTS is more accurately applied to NJ. Where is their #1 hit on the hot 100? Or even their US fanbase? NJ is known in Asia not the west/ US. They are getting more streams than they deserve by getting put on high profile playlists.
