Don’t understand the outrage. Burlesque/cabaret is an art and I think it’s incredibly cool that Lisa is expanding her horizons as a performing artist.
Didn’t Beyoncé perform here too or something? I might be mistaken, but it’s not like this is some “low-class” thing—it’s a field like any other and its aim isn’t to needlessly sexualize women.

Lisa’s not really hated in Korea lol online hate warps everyone’s perception. By Pann standards, a million Kpop girls are hated in Korea 
But I’d assume Lisa’s lesser popularity in SK is mostly just cuz she looks distinctively non-Korean (she was the first BP member I could differentiate) so automatically Koreans probably gravitate towards the other three because of xenophobia towards SEA. Meanwhile Hanni definitively could pass as Korean.
I don’t think it’s a visual problem tbh, even if Lisa looks distinct she fits KBS quite well (especially her body which gets a lot of praise). I think it’s mostly the fact that the other three members have something else that draws the GP in (Jennie for her cute-sexy appeal, Jisoo for her near-perfect visuals, and Rosie for her voice) so Lisa ends up at the tail-end because she’s of a different nationality unfortunately. She’s got massive international popularity to counter that tho

Idk, maybe it depends on your algorithm, because I constantly have Jennie all over my TL (and I’m Jisoo-biased).
I will say because of the backlash Jennie and Jisoo (and sometimes Rosé? I don’t see it as often with her) have been receiving from some of the Born Pink clips, I think Lisa is getting a lot of praise which is ofc deserved but it looks like a lot of tokenism as well to drag the rest of the girls. So maybe because of the influx of positivity from other fandoms and her solos it looks like she’s growing more rapidly than the others.
At the end of the day, I’m glad if any of the members are doing well. More often than not they are able to draw fans to the group that can appreciate them all, which only helps BP as a whole 
I doubt she had any malicious intent lol but it was a little silly on her end to post that without at least checking those tags…she doesn’t live under a rock and is almost certainly aware of Twitter fanwars. If I was her I prolly woulda cropped the bottom two tags just to be safe but hey what’s done is done. It’s not as big of a deal as Twitter stans are making it but what else can you expect from them 
My only gripe is that some of the songs are too short. Like tell me why the biggest bangers on the album (New Jeans and Get Up) are so short?! I get that they’re an intro and interlude respectively but I wish they would’ve been extended to full songs since an EP isn’t long anyways and doesn’t need those types of filler tracks. I still think the EP as a whole is great—maybe not my favorite work from them, but I have to say they set the bar high early on.

I agree; I think there is so much room for increased creativity in the major arts industries if they embraced some more diversity! I love both KOL and NewJeans’ styles and regardless of what is problematic about her, I really think Min Heejin is a creative genius and has been helping the girls’ strengths shine.

Since I got into K-Pop during the 3rd gen stronghold I’m a little biased. But even looking at it more objectively, I think 3rd gen’s longevity, impact, and both global and domestic success makes them stand out. So much of 3rd gen’s music I find highly enjoyable and it’s really helped drive K-Pop forward.
I also quite like 4th gen, but mostly the GGs. I’m not as invested in 4th gen BGs, although a lot of them have bangers.
