Dumhdurum is the only genuinely good song here imo... I like all these groups but HYLT was just a mediocre BP track with an earworm quality that gets stuck in your head (however the rap is top tier). unpopular opinion, psycho is not that good and lacks anything that makes me want to come back to the track (unlike HYLT which at least was catchy) people just hype it up because it saved Red Velvet from the direction their music was going in with Zimzalabim.

haven't seen the drama, but looking on google it seems South Korean society is still intact, so i guess it was fine

Oh, how do you know this? I heard that some shows are more likely to have one or the other, but I didn't know live performances ONLY happened on Music Bank (occasionally anyway).
I know from being a kpop fan and watching many music show stages, if you listen closely you start to pick up on the fact that the only stages that sound live are Music Bank. Also if you watch MR Removed channels most of their videos with actual live vocals, not AR are taken from Music Bank

yes it would be a hit, catchy songs are always hits but people would probably complain, as they always do

all idols--not just sm--lipsync on mcountdown and the rest of the music shows. the only music show idols *sometimes* sing live is Music Bank but most sm idols have stopped singing live on music bank a few years ago

Ailee's talent was by no means wasted, she has a decent following in Korea to this day despite not having a hit in years, and her talent is universally acknowledged and respected, however she is by no means the Adele of Korea that many people expected her to be and that she probably deserves to be.
Where did things go wrong? A number of personal scandals and her weight took attention away from where it should've been: her voice. Her original company failed to promote her properly. None of her follow up songs could reach the heights of "I Will Show You". Her new company lacks resources (and in my opinion her new songs do not deliver what people expect or want from ailee).
It's really a shame I think, we lost the chance to have a powerhouse vocals dominating kpop... we have korean singers like Sohyang but they aren't kpop.

i haven't heard any of these songs people are saying were a hit after love scenario

I think they are just synonyms, but IT girl does come with the connotation of being a trend setter (which most #1 popular female celebrities would be)

Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse, Doja Cat, Marina and the Diamonds

there are definitely differences between idols and whatever people define as "real musicians" but both work equally as hard so I think using these differences to degrade idols is pointless.

the cover is good enough but it's a bit lacking... I wish she could've sung live or at least dancer

a lot of groups have talented foreign members, but the it factor found in every single foreign twice member is quite rare...

quite early to announce when kep1er has just debuted... feels weird they're already talking about her post-kep1er plans
-
the teaser doesn't show any members, just stock images with cult indoctrination narration overtop. i'd be shocked if people were excited about such a terrible teaser...
