Only thing army are saying is that just because kmedia and some petty kchannels are continuing their smear campaign against yoongi doesn’t mean Samsung will let go of a bts member, who are known to be one of the most wanted people in the CF world. Even if they don’t renew the contract, bts will be more than fine (and while Samsung might see a lil drop internationally, they will be more than fine as well).
it obviously does matter because v and junglook's contracts weren't renewed and they are the most popular members. Everyone knows they use iphone. Suga isn't the most popular member but he did a lots of promo. Both Samsung and armys know he's fan of the brand he promotes and uses it himself.
even the least popular member in bts is bigger than 95% of all idols and Samsung will know that as well. Neither is the impact of his scandal on gp as big as kmedia is trying to make it out.
For selfish reasons, I think/hope if they don’t renew contract with yoongi, other members won’t renew either. iPhone users won’t be passed over in concerts anymore

Channel tv in korea are starting to blur his face when there's picture of bts as a group shown on screen so i wouldn't be surprise if samsung decide that remove him is a better option than keeping him and risk that the co'troversy might have an impact on the opinion that the public have of samsung as a brand
I doubt Samsung will actually break their contract with him - at worst they will let the contract end quietly and hire someone else.
I just think it’s interesting how kmedia can share some rumors about bts with absolutely ZERO proof or believable source (they can’t even get Samsung to answer) and kpop fans will jump on it like it’s facts. the reason korean women on twt are begging international media and people to pay attention to these telegram groups is because korean media/police are basically ignoring it. calling out the fact that korea media (and kpop translation sites) like to focus on random celeb scandals instead of SA crimes isn't making it about fanwars.

1) these kpop companies have shown again and again that they don’t care about hurting individuals, they only care about money. SM throwing him out is only because there is probably huge amount of evidence and they want to protect the NCT name (and their own) 2) there is a very big probability that SM has known about this for a long time, tried handling it behind the scenes and just succeeded in hushing kmedia and police until they decided it couldn’t be handled quietly.

But there are also people having a genuine discussion and trying to find out what’s going on. There’s speculation. There’s debate. It’s not all hate. They’re annoyed by misinformation as much as you are.
