I get you tho. I'm not usually a fan of the softer, fluffy badges either, which is why Dive Into You is a pass for me. I like the darker or more vibrant badges.
I sold off my Baek Get You Alone badge for that reason. I only got it to help Frosty (I think..I don't remember which bbhl started the petition tbh) build the totals back when people had to actually buy on the petition.
I don't have all mine showing, but there's a definite color palette I prefer. I don't do pastels.
Or of course if it's one of my dudes, but even then they're still darker in colors.
Even my customs are like that LOL

I usually prefer the brighter badges, I think they work much better for the size.
The most beautiful badge I've seen so far is the D.O. Rose one. That's probably my bias since I love that MV. But the shot composition came out pretty nicely.
And looking at it, the Sticker badge looks really good as well. But no surprise since the MV was impeccable.
Tbh, I wasn't a big fan of the individual ones... Most of them are too dark. The only ones that work well are Haechan and Jungwoo, because of the contrast with the red.

Tbh, I feel like a lot of limited badges don't look too good. Usually because the MV itself it's not that remarkable. For example, the recent The Boyz one, the MV for Maverick does not make a striking set of images. They really missed the opportunity with Thrill Ride, but I digress.
The point is, I agree. There are really just a few badges I look at and actually find pleasing.
