I'm sorry you new gen fans are so annoying...

I don't know how many post(on here and not on here) I've seen of you guys trying to deminish the accomplishments of 2nd gen and even 3rd gen groups to make you're favs sound better or make you feel better.

Like stop without the accomplishment of past gens(2nd/3rd) the new gen wouldn't even be were it is today and a lot of you guys wouldn't even be K-POP fans because K-POP wouldn't be what it is today without past gens.

So stop acting like new gen is SOOO much better than past gens and that your favs are SOOO much better than older gens.

Cl wasn't nowhere near Lisa or any member of BP for the matter

I don't know what you know about CL or the other 2NE1 members but they were the BP before BP. YG has admitted to making BP the "pretty version" 2NE1. CL is huge not only in the entertainment industies in Asia but also in the US. She's also huge in the Fashion industy. Also like I said before it was Lisa and the BP girls there was CL and the 2NE1 members. Stop trying to act like BP is the only girl group to make it huge. Learn some K-POP history. 2NE1 was the stepping stone for groups like BP and groups that do girl crush concept.

Yes. I think before it was Lisa that was super popular it was CL. Records are meant to be broken and it really is only a matter of time. I mean we see it easily with bgs; before it was BTS it was 1D before 1D it was NSYNC and BSBs and the Beatles. I think it might time some time since Lisa is in her prime and really she and the girls are only getting started in the careers. But popularity comes and goes it's really only natural for in the future their to be a "New Lisa," if you know what I mean.

If you could change one thing about K-POP what would it be?

Mine would be that a trainee has to be at least 17-18 to debut. I know that's crazy, but with all the horrible things that happen to idols; such has bullying, toxic fans, sexualization of minors. I just think it would be better if companies didn't debut super young trainees. I mean idols talk all the time about how bad their mental health is and also their physical health. I just think it would be better to not push minors into a job that can really affect them in their youth and I know 17-18 is really young. 18 is just a legal adult were I'm from so.

    1. I don't really understand the whole saying an idol is part of the LGBT+ community . (I'm part of the LGBT+ community) But still don't understand why people are so quick to say an idol is LGBT+. Like I get some idols say things that can be taken as them giving "hints" that they are. But until an idol actually says they are a part of the LGBT+ community I will not say that they are.

    2. 4th gen stans are to obsessed with 4th gen leaders and the title of "it boy/girl", and saying that their fav 4th gen idol is the it boy/girl of 4 gen.

    3. Just because an idol is popular doesn't mean they are the best at singing, rapping, or dancing. Being more popular than another idol doesn't automatically mean they are better than any other idol.

    4. Blackpink is my ult group and Lisa is my ult bias. But it's the inner battles between blinks that throw people off into getting into BP.

    5. The scariest thing about K-POP is that any of these idols we stan can be like Kris Wu or Seungri and we just don't know. Like we can actively be supporting a horrible person and just don't know and that's just scares me.

    6. All these collabs with western artist would be better if they actually put more effort into them an if they took more time to promote it and didn't just kind of throw it at us.

    7. A lot of these idols being called all rounders aren't all rounders, people just don't understand what being an all rounder means and just gives the title to their fav.

    8. The whole "who paved the way" convo is a useless topic and all it's causes is fanwars and toxicity.

    9. Jennies lazy scandal was blown way out of proportion. It's been about 3 years and still gets talked about when someone brings her up, and that just shows how revelent it is to hate on Jennie.

    10. A lot of these 4th gen groups and idols are generic to me, which isn't neccessarly a bad thing but it all get's boring. All the groups pretty much do the same or similar things and it all get mushed together.

    11. 2021 has been a dry year for K-POP and it's prob not going to get better.

**REMEMBER THESE ARE JUST MY THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS** **YOU'RE WELCOME TO COMMENT YOUR'S** **LET'S DISCUSS AND BE NICE**

Sure, ask me anything you want and I help you, but I'm not really good with most girlgroups so you can mainly only ask me about soloists and boygroups hehe

I guess the first questions is where do you learn about these groups :?: I've looked up Exile Tribe and pretty much just wiki pops up lol :-D

So I've been getting into J-POP recently, one problem it's not as easy to learn about the members of groups as it is K-POP lol. I've been getting into Exile Tribe lately; J Soul Brothers, Generations, The Rampage, and Ballistik Boyz. Is there anyone who will help me learn lol or show me where they learn about certain groups :?: Like be my J-POP guru :-D

i want top quality filming, styling and music

i want her to break youtube, and music charts

i want her to be happy through all the process, to enjoy her solo, with her members by her side (like always)

Great answer! I think with how top quality her filiming is for her YT vids are it would be weird if her solo mv wouldn't be just as great. She's already breaking some with 700k orders, have no doubt she will be breaking more! Honestly should have put her being happy with her project in my answer :-):borahae:

What are your own hopes that you want in Lisa's solo? Let's not be toxic and just share what we are hoping for in Lisa's solo ^^

Personally I would love to see maybe like Kehlani, NIKI, or even something similar to LILI's Film [THE MOVIE] :borahae:

I think something R&B with a bit of spice would be cool to show off; maybe not a in your face rap song, and maybe her show of some Thai culture; like in her outfits or dance

LET'S GO! What are some of you're opinions on current trends in K-POP? Like what are some you like or hate? :eyes: Also can't believe I have to say this but be respectful and no hating on others opinions, that's what they are just opinions.

Already posted but have a few more:

-Seen people taking about whitewashing idols. I personally don't see a problem with fans whitewashing photos, if you don't like them don't look at them. The only problem I have them is when it's makeup artist not knowing how to properly apply makeup on "darker," idols.

-This adds to another opinion before. But, this whole argument that idol rappers are the same as rapper rappers is dumb. Idol rappers are not the same as an actual rapper(k-rapper.) Idol rappers only train enough to be able to repeat/rap, also I know some idol rappers write their lyrics also. But it's not just about skill, it's about the way they hold themselves. Idol rappers act totally different from and actual rapper.

-I've seen this whole Blackpink are actually models and just do idol things on the side. But really that's every idol male and female. They all model for magazines and they all have fashion brands that want them to be seen in their clothes. Most clothes that idols wear at airports are clothes that fashion brands pay for the idols to be seen in. Yes, Blackpink probably have the most endorsments, but that doesn't mean that makes them models. Lisa is a coach on shows, something that idols also do. I think some are just jealous of the girls. When other groups get just as much endorsments and magazine covers as BP are we going to be calling them models as well?

-This whole argument of ___ is a bad ___ is also dumb. Not every idol is gunna be the best at everything. Some idols became idols because they love singing, some because the liked dancing, so they became idols. So of course some idols are going to be the best in everything.

-BTS's newer songs aren't better than their older songs, and their older songs aren't better than their newer ones. They are just different. BTS evolved and so did their music.

honsetly you don't see a lot of filipinos in kpop, but you don't see different asians in kpop beside chinese, japanese, and some thai and taiwanese.. but if you wanna see more of a range asians listen to jpop, noticed they have more diversity when it comes to who companies debut
