Not in the slightest, that was the worst period for Western music in history

There's so many warnings about the unprecedented level of misinformation spread especially on social media. Most of the people "caring" (including on here) are merely carrying out the will of Russian bots.

I think in Germany there's also a few Schlager boygroups

"Talent" is more often than not just skill honed thru interest from a young age in most cases
SOME cases are different like people with extraordinarily fast working brains or muscles, but those are 0.01% cases
there's millions of people who are good at their work, who can be dismissed as simply being born special, but no
these people had to spend thousands, maybe tens of thousands of hours from their early childhood to actually become GOOD
hell even the most gifted person on the planet has to spend ATLEAST 1000 hrs to stand out among the best
looks do NOT fall into the category of talent, atleast not this kind of talent
both are ultimately down to luck, but one is far more affected by conscious decision making
looks are pure unadulterated luck
and dont even start talking about posing and walking, they are taught that after their looks are accepted, not the other way round
What you call "conscious decision making" is, as I said, nothing but a result of nature and your surroundings. Every part of your personality, including every decision you make is. It's all genes interacting with every single factor and detail you've encountered by luck in life.
Also still doesn't change my main argument of "Does this trait affect job performance/output?" (Because looks for models do affect job performance and output, your parent's name doesn't).
-
ah yes, a model
the people that get chosen purely because of a combination of VERY specific genetic traits that the modelling industry likes, talking about privilege
lmaooooooooooooo
nepo babies can be delusional for sure, but models are no less delusional about how freaking lucky their careers are
Literally everything is about luck, intelligence is about luck, every little bit of your personality is a combination of your genetics and your surroundings (therefore luck), physical strength is about luck, health is about luck, talent in composing/singing/dancing/writing/whatever is about luck, everything you need for any career is about luck. It's not about luck, it's about a trait being actually relevant to your job output and performance, I'm pretty sure the name of your parents isn't relevant to that in any job. (Plus there's the whole "rich getting richer, poor getting poorer" social issue, you don't really have an issue that is THIS deep-set with any other "lucky" trait - okay, you could make a case for lookism but if you're looking across all career fields etc. it's still much, much less of a factor than wealth/family background)

I feel like they look somewhat more diverse than standard 4th gen K-Pop idols which is a good thing (though it doesn't say that much because lbr K-Pop standards these days are insanely narrow), and I'm not just talking about ethnicity because the Korean (and other East/SE Asian contestants) also seem to have visuals that are somewhat unconventional for current K-Pop and it makes them stand out more. They all definitely don't look any worse than any other K-Pop idols.

Majority are probably 1&2 (I mean even quite a lot of the dating rumours are probably actually 2...) but there's probably more of 3 than people would expect (as in society in general, there's quite a few people you wouldn't expect it because they fit society's standards in every other way quietly/secretly not dating, even at an "older" age). Having no rumours actually seems way harder than not dating though since in K-Pop literally everything will lead to a dating rumour... Like I'm literally Nr. 3 (which no one expects of me), I'm not a celebrity and even I had dating rumours surrounding me in my daily life, if you apply K-Pop idol dating rumour standards I'd have rumours with like hundreds of guys

I just got a last.fm 2 months ago and I've listened to over 450 different artists in those two months (less than 10% of them are Korean) and I want more lol (I also know there are many more I sometimes listen to that I just haven't listened to on Spotify these past 2 months, but I'm also open to many new discoveries)

It's pretty sad majority still don't listen to any foreign language music

So many new pages since I last looked before the final
Anyway please support the Spotify (and Tiktok) virality of Slovenia (and Joker Out's career in general) as well as the Spotify virality of Austria as they were robbed in the voting but I'm seeing some viral potential there with the developments of the past 24 hours
(I'm salty at just about everything about the results, except that I don't really care much about the winner)
-
Oh I was about to fangirl to you about how much I love Slovenia and Slovene language (I was there last year and )
I haven't heard any of their songs except for the ESC entry but maybe I should dive deeper into their music because Carpe Diem is sooo good and up my alley.
btw I live in Germany too
Ah haha, yeah you should listen to their other songs like Umazane Misli, A Sem Ti Povedal, Novi Val, Demoni... Actually pretty much all of their songs are good

I don't know if I'll be active here much but just imagine A LOT of Slovenia fangirling from me because Joker Out fangirling is like 99% of my free time right now
(Also I'd love a winner that isn't Sweden or Finland tbh, ideally Spain or Austria since I guess Slovenia may sadly be winning though I hope for a Top 10 and lasting success there)
