Can you please stop putting words into my mouth? I said the Israeli government are at fault for what is going on. You cannot compare it with brown people being hated and being called terrorists, because their governments do not enforce the same policies as Israel.

Also, regarding anti-semitism in general: it is a sad, but true fact that many people hate Jews because of Israel and not because of some vendetta against them. This is of course a terrible mindset, but it shows how Israel literally is at fault for their people being hated.

"how Israel is literally at fault for their people being hated"

And if you're going "I meant the government" - I also said the Chinese government is not at fault for random Asians, including mainland Chinese, including mainland Chinese who are not dissidents, getting beaten up or called slurs.

People have hated Jews for Millenia without Israel. "Jews are at fault for antisemitism" is also an antisemitic trope by the way, also much older. It's also nonsense regardless of who you're talking about - China is not at fault for random Asians (even if those random Asians are actually mainland Chinese) getting beaten up or called slurs. No matter how bad any organization is - as terrible as IS is, they're also not at fault for random brown people getting beaten up or called terrorists.

I literally only implied "They have somewhere else to go" about Ashkenazi Jews, not Palestinians?!

And I also never said all criticism of Israel is antisemitic, but the Twitter mob type is. I also consider similar type of hatred/"criticism" of any other country discriminatory, but I never see a similar level of hatred towards any country which shows a double standard that just makes it all more antisemitic. And those "it shouldn't become an excuse to be antisemitic" mean nothing when every time Israel is trending online Jewish communities worldwide have to go on extra-high alert and none of those claiming to be "woke" do anything against it and, to the contrary, just further stoke the hatred.

Jews no matter where in the world never forgot Israel, never forgot Jerusalem. Even if they physically weren't there, most of their hearts were always there. Israel and Jerusalem were always central parts of Jewish culture.

And now you're trying to tokenize MENA Jews when 99% of the Jewish Israelis you see at very left-wing protests, cooperating with Palestinian organizations etc. are Ashkenazim while Mizrahim are MUCH, MUCH more right-wing. There's a deep, deep mistrust of Arabs and talks of "Your grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great-greatparents all knew how bad it is to live among Arabs as Jews and you have to do everrything to preveng that fron happening again" among them. Also most Ashkenazim have an alternative to Israel, some other place where they have family at least, most Mizrahim have nowhere else, they're the ones who need Israel the most, support Israel the most, and who'd suffer the most, so don't pretend like you care about MENA Jews.

    "Why would and country agree..."

The UN partition plan they rejected was before the Nakba. The war they started was before the Nakba.

"There was no antisemitism in Palestine before"

Wrong, see dhimmi laws, see the 1517 Safed attachs, the 1834 Safed pogrom, the 1847 Jerusalem riot about the Damascus affair etc. etc.

It can't be colonisation since Jews are native to the region. Natives can't colonize.

no, it’s completely wrong when it comes to israel! do you even know how this ‘country’ was even formed??? they forced palestinians out of their homes and took over their land in modern times right under everyone’s noses. israel is NOT a country. genocide in any place should not be excused.

That war was started by Arab nations, so blame them.

Most countries formations were even messier though, the messiest of the messiest being literally every single country on the American continent but I don't see you calling any of them "not a country".

The maps you're showing are completely misleading which is why media who published it had to apologize for it - in 1946 and earlier the vast majority of land was NOT privately owned but publicly owned (at that time by Britain, previously by the Ottoman Empire). That 1947 UN plan was accepted by the Israeli side and rejected by the Palestinian side, not the other way round.

In my country you could literally lose your job for posting the stuff you (and many here.) post.

Tel Aviv is literally one of the world's top party destinations lmao

You could have all the knowledge and experience in the world and still be ignorant.

No one is saying that the opposite side is innocent and that they are saints that haven't done anything bad. This isn't a competition between who has committed the worst mistakes. Someone else's wrong doings don't erase Israel's. There's nothing "antisemitic" in acknowledging actual facts and saying that it's completely insensitive to say you want to go to a place due to the atmosphere where the atmosphere in question is genocide, murder and crime

    1. "Child-murderer" is an antisemitic trope.

    2. You know nothing about the atmosphere in Israel.

    3. Not every conflict is a genocide.

    4. These Twitter mobs activities go hand it hand with the level of antisemitic hate crimes outside Israel. They're inciters of hatred.

    5. Israel is treated completely different from any other country in the world (though some people are trying to get China on that level, it's still quite far from it, though the rise in Anti-Asian hate crimes stemming from that has also already been quite worrying.)

    6. There are likely at least 10 people on social media who literally want every Jew or at least every Israeli dead for every 1 Jew in the world, no one is doing anything against it, and it's terrifying.

Ohhh so you are ignorant, insensitive, uneducated and are defending the wrong doings of Israel. Get the hell out with your "but everyone is bad 🥺" slogan

Yeah I basically had 5 years of studying antisemitism in high school and was all that shit again especially this year. Saw all that shit like the synagogue of my city, which needs to be under permanent top level surveillance anyway, thousands of km away from Israel getting shut down for the acute terror threat. Saw all that shit again like people getting punched in the face and beaten to unconsciousness for having any symbol of Israel or Judaism again. And my country is still considered one of the safest for Jews IN THE WORLD, like literally 90%+ of countries with sizable Jewish population have it much worse. High season for that stuff constantly, ESPECIALLY high season when the "antizionists not antisemites" have their high season again. See all that shit going on on Twitter every day and how much it reminds me of my history lessons.

I know the cultural importance very well. I also know that if some people are killing children, murdering innocent people and doing terrible things then I won't want to go there, no matter if it's the prettiest place in the world or holds a great religion importance to me

Here we go with the antisemitic tropes like "Child-murdering Jews" (an anti-semitic trope MUCH older than the modern state of Israel). You can criticize Israel without being antisemitic, but 99% of those Twitter mobs can't do it and resort to the literally oldest most stereotypical antisemitic tropes or to complete delegitimization.

Some people are likely murdering innocent people in your country too. Literally every country in the world is somehow involved in "murdering ionnocent people" so better book your ticket to Mars before humans settle there.

(Aspiring) psychotherapists should really focus on some gerascophobia research with the patient influx they're going to get in 5 - 10 years with the amount of people unable to lead a normal life and falling into all sort of mental struggles due to having hit a certain age (I'm saying this from as experience as someone who's now messed up despite the still definitely ageist environment I grew up in being NOWHERE NEAR as bad with the ageism and age gatekeeping as Gen Z online communities).

While I think netizens should wait for Snowdrop to at at least, I don't think that's comparable. This drama is a thriller, likely without romance. Also a big part of the outrage is that right-wing politicians in Korea still use the controversial "the protests were instigated by North Korean spies" narrative, and the synopsis sounds like it could feed that narrative. Handling the Korean democracy movement of the 80s in a serious way is praised by K-netizens, like with Youth of May.

Thank you! Does idol/celebrity culture threathen any of its values? Is there any ideology amongst the gp such as anti ccp? Like is ccp ideology more popular with all gens or just the older ones. I once read that it was often older people that populate chinese villages and they have ccp propaganda hoisted on temples aswell. Is that true?

Ah I wasn't aware of the history of revolts in China? Has there been any in recent years besides hongkong?

I think what's most concerning about idol culture nowadays for the CCP is how super structured and organized it is. They don't like independent organized groups because they can easily get triggered and have structures to reach a lot of people in short time. Plus the fanwars and stuff, CCP is into "stability" and "avoiding chaos" online too.

I don't really know that many details, I guess it may depend on the individual points of the ideology where some may be more or less popular with certain demographics.

In recent years there haven't really been such revolts for the reasons mentioned, I'm talking about the historical ones like whenever the dynasty changed... Like in the NINTH century the An Lushan Rebellion against the Tang dynasty killed tens of millions. Killing tens of millions would be super major in the 20th century, now imagine that scope with 9th century population sizes. Result was that the Tang dynasty lived on, but people's living conditions were messed up for decades. Even earlier, around 2nd century, the Yellow Turban rebellion against the Eastern Han, around 5 Million dead, unsuccesful in the end. The Ming-Qing dynasty transition in the 17th century, 25 Million dead. Not like the Qing dynasty was much better than the Ming in the end. Then the religious/ethnic insurgencies in 19th century Qing (which are a large reason for today's attitudes towards religiously/ethnically motivated dissent). The religiously motivated Taiping Rebellion, over 30 Million dead. The Dungan revolt of Muslims, over 10 Million dead. Then the Chinese civil war, because of the dissatisfaction with the Republican government. 10 Million dead, Republican government defeated, CCP rule established.
