Does a bg really need good charting to produce an it boy? Astro weren’t charting at all when Eunwoo blew up and SF9 was barely charting (if at all) when Rowoon started getting gig after gig. When I went to Korea both of them were inescapable (especially Eunwoo). Someone will blow up sooner or later and I feel like he won’t be from the usual big agencies either.

Idk music wise I think there are some pretty great groups if you look past the usual big agencies.
If you’re talking solely about charts, personally I don’t really care that much about them and I’ll never understand people who are so chart obsessed but each to their own 🤷♀️ That said, I do find Stayc’s fast rise to stardom very interesting and I think they’ll be an absolute force soon enough.

I don’t even know. I couldn’t think of anything and I saw it somewhere on the internet written, liked how it looked and stole it

Kpop stans talking about “organic” and “inorganic” is always funny to me as if the industry isn’t built on mass fandom streaming and bulk buying.

Also anyone saying this year’s Eurovision was a joke is either bitter or delusional. This year was the strongest song quality wise in YEARS. The top 10 alone was full of great songs. The only ones I didn’t care at all about was Switzerland and Poland. The rest were from decent to amazing and there were a lot of amazing songs for me. Italy, Ukraine, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania.
Poland didn’t even qualify to the final wtf am I talking about lol. I meant to say Portugal but they didn’t make top 10 either so Switzerland was the only song in the top 10 I didn’t like at all.

Because these type of shows are the ones that sell. I mean sex sells in general.
I absolutely love Elite though. Such a guilty pleasure.

i don't know the age of jury members from other countries but the serbian one were pretty good. 46 yo (a woman), 39yo (a woman), 33yo (a man), 61yo (a woman), no idea what age is of the composer, never heard of him but he's a man. first three are really into popular music, i mean, finland got a 10. they snubbed ukraine
they were 12th. but i think that overall they did a great job.
12 France
10 Finland
8 Italy
7 Iceland
6 Bulgaria
5 Portugal
4 Sweden
3 Greece
2 Israel
1 Switzerland
the most on the forum loved switzerland so this one is a matter of taste.
the format of presenting the results is swedish, it's brutal but more fun; well for us, not for the artists lol.
this was the best eurovision ever hands down, especially the final and it seems that the vast majority was happy with the winner, top 3 and top 5. no ridiculous props on stage, just artists focusing on their songs. the uk's zero was so undeserving, but there were better songs and people gave their money to them. he shouldn't be sad, he did really well.
i knew hurricane wouldn't do well, the song is too local. surprised that they/we got any points from italy, sweden, malta and france. would have never guessed.
I’m British and I can definitely tell the 2 zeros were deserved (I did feel bad for him tho because he seemed like a nice enough guy). Even bad songs leave you some sort of impression. The problem with our entries is that they aren’t even memorably bad, they are the very definition of dull. Once the performance is finished one second later you’ve forgotten everything about it which is even worse. Add to that a bunch of z-listers with no star quality, stage presence or performing ability and we get the results that we get.
I don’t see that changing anytime soon (or ever for that matter). People are convinced that everyone hates us but the truth is that we’re constantly flopping because our entries are beyond shit. Plus Eurovision has been so tainted here that no even slightly relevant artist is ever going to agree to participate.
This was the last semi decent entry we sent and we did nice enough. And that was during brexit too which shows that the lack of effort is the real problem

These old men at the juries really had the AUDACITY to try bury Ukraine (Finland also). Thank god for the public vote. Just get rid of the juries all together. I can’t believe that dud from Switzerland was a contender at one point.
Anyway, this was the best Eurovision in years. Best winner in years, the songs in general were strong for the most part, the public being BRUTAL and handing out zero after zero and single handedly destroying Malta, all the close ups at dreams being destroyed (San Marino I’m looking at you), Moldova somehow scamming its way to a good placement (though it was deserved just for that iconic high note alone). I haven’t enjoyed Eurovision this much in a long time.
Hurricane deserved top 10, my favorite out of all the generic bops and the girls did great, but every time I was looking at the odds they were flopping and out of top 20 so I guess 15th place ain’t that bad all things considered.

Manifesting top 10 soon

We been knew. It was obvious the rumors about her signing with Big Hit/Hybe were true after the statement they released which to me read like “yes it’s true that she signed or about to sign with but we’re not ready to announce it yet”.
I wonder what they’re going to do with her. She has said she wants to continue being an idol and even though I love her, I don’t think she can stand as a soloist. But putting her in a group could also be tricky. She’s so popular the imbalance is going to be huge if they have her with a bunch of lesser known girls. But I’m super excited to see what path she’s going to take next regardless.

Lord these new groups keep getting younger and younger. I already stan a group with 15 year olds on it and I feel kinda weird. Every time a group debuts I feel so old and i’m not even that old myself lol.

I really like the visual direction for this comeback. All the teaser photos were stunning as well.

They are legends, they are icons and they ARE the moment.
