Maybe they did release it now for that reason, sadly the authorities in SK are irredeemably dumb if they don't know by now that this kind of thing shines a light on all current scandals because there are so many conspiracy theorists online to get it trending.
What baffles me is people saying JenniexGD is fake and set up by YG to distract from the scandals. No YG artist was affected by these scandals. Is YG a massive Hyunjin fanboy or something? JYP dropped him like a stone in 2019 so I don't see any favours being done.
Its more like the companies affected by all this paying dispatch to release something to distract the public.

I've been here for just awhile but i feel like its not that different from twitter, a thread is either a bait thread or a response thread trying to rile up the same people again & again. Its like going on repeat from both sides. While i would love to think this is just a minority group of people from both fandoms, i would hate to think this is the expected reality of kpop discussions everywhere. I ran away from twitter cause of this. I guess its better to become a fan without delving too much into it or you will encounter the unsavoury elements of it.

I'm happy for them, I hope blinks will have fun on the app. I do want BH to have better moderation tho because I don't want it to turn into twitter x2 with fans being at each others throat all the time, especially on a platform where the artists can see all of it. Anyway, I hope this collaboration between BH and YG will lay the fanwars to rest in the future but that's probably wishful thinking on my part
Yeah i am tired of seeing all the negative things i see all over the net, whether its from armies or blinks, why cant people just enjoy being supportive of their biases instead of resorting to all sorts of negative things. I hope this can somehow mend the years of negativity.

Yep I did not say this was not smart. I just think Naver is basically the gear that moves this partnership and one way or another ties BH and YG into this. Hence why they're the main factor. And of course YG and BH aren't stupid, they want to join because they see a benefit, which is already quite apparent.
The whole uproar on twitter is how much this will change the tip of the iceberg (aka the acts and idols themselves)? But all in all, not much I think. I don't see them suddenly interacting with one another, or having collaborations or sharing spaces.
Yeah i don't see the point of the uproar, even in YG itself, its rare idols have a joint collaboration with each other, this is just partnership for business and expanding each company's infrastructure and assets. It will benefit every current & future artists in the companies having a bigger userbase within weverse & a new concert hall for both companies to use.

BH also has ties with CJ though. BELIFT Lab (Enhypen's Label) is a combined label with BH and CJ. :D
This is more investing into infrastructure though which is a more massive scale than forming a joint label, with weverse and vlive integrating, its like naver is the middleman making this happen so they can expand more in the korean/global industry & making money together as partners. I might be wrong as it might just be these companies working together to make more money.
