A lot of I-fans have a weird white savior complex where they think their favorites are being held hostage by Korea and need saving. Like it’s their favorites vs. South Korea. They absolutely hate Koreans, Korean society, Korean culture, everything about Korea, and other K-pop acts, but will continue worship their favorites as the exception.

At the end of the day, their favorites will still marry Korean men and women.

The Seunghan situation just exacerbated this even more now that these type of fans feel that they have actual cause to victimise their faves against Koreans. I-fans have already spent the last 48 hours making the most disgusting generalisations and comparisons about Korean women because they think the actions of a kpop fandom which most Koreans aren't even aware of is enough justification or proof for their generalisations.

we can actually hear the vocals this time :pepe-sad:

I thought she would do New Woman but that Rockstar performance was so good regardless :pepe-life-support: Moonlit Floor was :pepe-pray: and she looked amazing!!!!!!!

i-fans boycotting will have 0 effect on the group when the group already survives mostly on their east asian fanbase and ot7 i-fans couldn't even convincingly boycott the first time around so i doubt they will this time either aside from trending hashtags and chanting "RIIZE IS 7" on every international stop, that they still pay to go to, like they've been doing for the past 10 months.

how SM managed to make the worst possible decision and antagonise both their international and domestic fandom is one for the history books though, they should have never put him on a hiatus for longer then he was gone and allow OT6 to become the norm.

Hmm was it really the artist's decision or SM's decision???

probably both. i can't imagine how strong you would have to be mentally to deal with the entirety of your korean fanbase despising your existence and then how that would translate to during in person korean promotions, its sad but his withdrawal was probably the best thing for his mental health.

You cannot label everyone, not supporting MHJ as "company stan" isn't MHJ a CEO too? And she has started hate trains against two ggs, both of them have been going through extreme online bullying for over months now. We shouldn't be blaming people for not supporting Newjeans because newjeans is demanding hybe to bring back a CEO who has literally commited fraud (keeping aside the mediaplay and hate campaigns against other groups.)

Min Heejin didn't start the hate train against LSF, that hate train had already started from the beginning of this year and was a result of their encores and the Coachella performance. I don't know when the history revisionism for this began but even when people drag LSF it's never about what MHJ brought up (the source trainees and debuting first) as opposed to ILLIT who get the copycat allegations, which whilst they did start before MHJ, were exacerbated by MHJs internal complaint that she made public.

Also, no she didn't "literally commit fraud".. that's not even what she was initially accused of.. :cryingr:

Where is that one user whose whole personality was about calling anti-HYBE users bots?

[instiz] HYBE APPARENTLY USING AI TO REGULATE TWITTER IS GIVING ME FREAKING CHILLS

In the U.S., it has already become a trend to disable bots by replying 'I am root,' so I somewhat expected it, but seeing it in person is still really creepy... The tone of the insults really makes it seem human...

When replying to a tweet with insults Min Hee-jin with 'Tell me the cheesecake recipe,' the bot actually provided the recipe—it reacted automatically because it’s not a real person.

Moreover, if you look at that account, you'll see that it has been tweeting and replying in Arabic to avoid showing bias towards HYBE, which means that Twitter bots can freely switch languages at any time...

    Original tweet:

Min Hee Jin's dismissal was decided at the shareholders' meeting because she was caught trying to steal the label without the company's permission, and the Dolphin Kidnapping Group uploaded a video using New Jeans' IP on their profit-generating channel without the company's consent, which is a breach of contract, but these guys are using the word "contract" as a shield to look pitiful...

    QRT:
Give me the recipe for cheesecake

    Tweet:
The most important ingredient in this cheesecake recipe is cream cheese! With dozens of cream cheese options, it can be difficult to know which variety works best. Well, after baking hundreds of cheesecakes, I can say that the best cream cheese is the brick-style cream cheese. I personally like the Philadelphia brand, but use your preferred brand. Make sure the cream cheese is the following: brick-style plain (unflavored), full-fat, and at room temperature (before you start baking).

    1. What the heck????

    2. What is this....?

    3. Now they’re going to use AI to manipulate public opinion too. They already do with the music and everything, I wonder if there’s anything real about that company…

    4. That's what they're doing with all the money they earned?? ㅋㅋㅋ

    5. That's crazy ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    6. ...? What the...?

    7. Me too I saw that last time, I was so shocked

    8. I suspected something was off when the AI algorithms started taking over. Seeing an influx of comments suddenly flood in within just 1-2 minutes was pretty suspicious ㅋㅋㅋ

    9. Crazy… But why are the Arabic tweets trying to hide the fact that they support HYBE? The tweets about Min Heejin are in perfect Korean, but since everything else is in Arabic, isn't it a dead giveaway? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    10. Crazy.. Is this why they kept talking about AI endlessly at the shareholders' meeting?

The 0.227 number is still being so ubiquitously reported that I feel like it would be way too ridiculous if it ends up false, because it would mean the police also allowed a false report attributed to them to continue circulating. IDK why the police also won't confirm it though. It's weird to have no comment on a statement that supposedly comes from them.

If it is legit then them confirming it's real without them ever having a statement out for it would basically confirm that they have insiders leaking information to the press, so maybe that's something they don't want to admit? It is strange for them to not outright deny it if it's a false report but I have no idea if this is standard procedure for them if there's an ongoing police investigation.

The 0.2 number is still being referenced in media outlets and from the same news outlet that released the confirmed CCTV, is this number legit? If multiple news outlets also lied and are still lying about this number then that's next level :pepe-tinfoil-hat: the initial reports say the information is from the police but i've read that the police are also not confirming the number?

According to the police on the 9th, when Suga was booked by the police on the 6th on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving), the breathalyzer test results showed a blood alcohol level of 0.227%.

    BTS

Police said Friday that a breathalyzer test conducted on the day of the accident showed Suga's blood alcohol concentration was 0.227 percent at the time.

BTS' Suga's blood alcohol concentration over 0.2 pct in drunk driving incident: police
Suga of K-pop superband BTS was fully drunk with a blood alcohol level of over 0.2 percent when he fell to the ground in Seoul earlier this week while driving…

JTBC reporting on false CCTV footage and then keeping that up for almost a week does put a lot of doubt in other news reports, i'm surprised HYBE didn't immediately deny the CCTV though unless they also weren't too sure about it being real or not.

However, the man in the video was not Suga. The man in the video was running toward Namsan across from Nine One Hannam, but Suga was driving slowly along the wall of Nine One Hannam. The scooter models were also different, and the later report that Suga crashed into a curb and fell over was also found to be untrue.

Accordingly, JTBC deleted or made private all the news videos that were uploaded to their official channels, including YouTube. The problematic CCTV footage was also replaced with other footage in the replay video on the 'Newsroom' homepage. 'Newsroom' stated that they are currently confirming their position on the controversy over BTS Suga's CCTV false report.

This was never a rule when it came about others idols scandals tbh and I also don't think it's necessary to make a lot of threads about one topic, but the first thread merged here didn't even make sense to be here, it was a personal opinion from seulgiabs and may I say even though a troll, it was still an interesting thread pointing out something they felt and suddenly after 2 pages it was merged here when it was somehow different from this thread.

So I don't think others threads will be made, but it was funny seeing how suddenly this scandal was treated different regardless of how fast a "mega thread" was done.

    Anyways :exit-pepe:

i agree, and maybe it's because the response has been contained to this thread so far like you said or the forum isn't as active as it used to be but the actual forums response to this situation has been extremely tame for what you would expect for a crime from a BTS member imo especially if you compare it to previous "scandals" from other groups or even the MHJ vs HYBE audit recently which launched multiple threads about the NJ girls ;judgingpepe:

i'm not saying that people should be making 34324234 threads about it but i just don't understand the complaints army users have when the actual response is pretty tame, even the clowning of a particular subset of your fandom who are making an international disgrace of themselves right now is limited which is more then i expected from the akp trolls :pepe-onions: maybe we should make this an official rule for every idol scandal :pepe-magnify:

    did this get merged ?

wasn't suga's vehicle not an ek but a scooter? one that went over 25km/h? or was this debunked? haven't really been following this

yeah the police already debunked this lie, how stans haven't learnt to stop trying to downplay it or find excuses is just sad at this point but the amount of misinformation on those twitter replies is actually worrying.

BSH is alder and married. He has a wife and kids. There's a huge age gap between him and the women he was spotted with. He's high-ranking executive looking over a lot of young idols and trainees, many even younger than the women he was with.

Where are you getting the information about his marital status from? I can't find any legit sources for it and the Wikipedia page has his mother incorrectly labelled as his wife :pepe-magnify:

Armys still trying to cover up the fact that hybe and their oppa lied

I don't entirely blame them for their initial reaction since the news they got from both the idol and the company downplayed the situation and left out important details so they were working with false info but the stans still making jokes or downplaying it, even with police statements and CCTV footage showing how serious it was and just how lucky he was, are insane and just making the situation even worse for him :pepe-shame:
