Maybe no one calls me out for being shady because it's not shade when you don't shy away from presenting your negative opinions in a straightforward way. I have also never took advantage of an artist's existence for the sole reason of shading others. But hey, please go ahead and call me out in the future lol.
The real question here is why are some of you triggered when I'm only calling out op and not the rest of you? Do you feel implicated just because you're from the same fandom? Not even I think so, so quit acting like you all are a monolith or something.
First I am not triggered at all. I am just calling out "hypocrisy" like you have been doing in this thread.
Second My reply is directed at you without any mention of OP so I don't get why you feel I am out here "defending" them. I defend only myself.
Third If anything this thread and your reply here to me is "proving", it is that you like to read too much into things. And you tend to assume alot of things like what people's intentions are, what they are trying to say, etc.
And people don't like to call out "shady" comments only because they like to stay out of drama and away from users like you who are looking for it all the time.

cadence and rhythm are the same things bro.
Enunciation and lyricism are the most important skills for me in rapping. Since I understand korean, I appreciate many korean rappers. People like to undermine them just like they used to do back in the days with white rappers.
Outro : Tear is the best kpop song imo.
Stan is the best Eminem song imo.
Changes is the best hip hop song imo. Even though many in the hip hop community think 'The Message' is by far ahead of any other hip hop song because of the time it was released and it's significance. It's not even in my top 8.

It's not their faves getting shaded and it's not a different fandom being pretentious and shady so they'll just sweep it under the rag and pretend nothing happened.
You should be the last user talking about "shading" and calling out shady users here tbh.
I don't remember anyone calling you out even when most of your existence on akp has been about being "shady". Or are we a little too happy that old forum is being deleted so all your "shadiness" won't be seen by these newer users.

ARMYs if we are looking at the number of people. A huge number of ARMYs don't give a damn about kpop so don't enter into this shell to be toxic.

I can understand this though. It's because he doesn't have certificates yet.
But yeah I agree that people tend to undermine Rain's contributions to the kpop. He is probably the originator of spread of kpop outside Asia alongside Wonder Girls. I have always felt that these are the only two kpop artists who made noise *even though a little* till BTS. Others just went and came back. Sorry not sorry.
PS : Don't like his music tbh but not gonna question his legacy and I hope no one does.

I have to say you have really good writing skills. Most of your posts are well researched and very well worded.

This is a good question.
I'll think about it and tell you what I think.
Btw why do you make troll threads when you have good enough thinking ability?

So the first thing BTS will do after the Grammys is being on a korean variety show (the first time since 2017? I guess). Interesting

If a group is popular enough and go on a hiatus when they still were significant then it builds the hype for the next comeback.
If the popularity had died down before the hiatus then there will be hype but only amongst certain people or should I say only fandom.
Hiatus can kill the hype only for new groups. Older groups will always have fandoms to have enough hype.

I mean I stan BTS so i get the best of both worlds

IU without a doubt.
BTS is more known for their album songs charting and longetivity rather than the highest peak possible for a single or a title track.
Oh another thing!
If the reform hadn't happened then it would have a really close competition because of the structure of older charts (and tbh would have been fun to follow if there would have been this scenario). But now after the reform it is difficult to top IU.

Not a fan of Idle and tbh don't know about the situation of this all too well. Only some excerpts here on akp and other sites. So I don't have any opinion on this yet.
But what I want to say (looking at the people's reaction on this) is that everyone can have opinion on this. If it doesn't concur with you doesn't mean it is wrong and doesn't say anything about the person or user who gave it.
I know some of you are heavily involved in this. Just don't make it personal. Do not judge people's morals only based on their opinion on this topic. If anything just correct them if they are spreading false information. Otherwise just take it as another opinion.

See this is complicated. I'll try to explain this as simply as possible.
If they give BTS a chance to perform, they'll have to give BTS that award as BTS will show they are far better performers than other nominees and have bigger song than them.
If they don't give BTS a slot to perform, they'll really miss out on the opportunity to have ARMY clout.
If they give BTS a spot to perform but do not give them a grammy, it'll further prove that "Grammys are rigged" (which is a known fact) as BTS would have already shown that they deserve to win this category by a mile.
I'm gonna say they will give BTS a significant amount time to perform 'Dynamite'. Won't predict about the award though as I don't really care about them.

I don't care about the promotions but I agree with the fact that Big Hit promotional strategies have been really really confusing.
Tbh I never felt they did anything different from other k-pop companies other than getting all the opportunities that came their way (most of them because of ARMYs).
BTS success is all down to BTS, their music & their relationship with ARMYs.

I get that they are just another kpop fan. Just like some people like vocals more and brag about them and drag others who don't, some like lyrics more and brag about them and drag others who don't. Same can be said for every other thing in kpop like rapping, dancing, "visuals", etc.
All kpop fans like to do is drag others for not liking the things that they like and nothing else. They cannot enjoy their faves music without dragging other groups or their fans.
