I don't know. I see almost all i-fans supporting the group.

Ew, I hate this.

I've wondered if the current Hollywood strike will provide a huge opportunity for Korean dramas and movies to be promoted more amongst the American mainstream. Even if they resolve the strike by December or whatever, it will be late 2024 probably before new episodes and new shows from Hollywood are ready to be aired...this void could theoretically be filled by content from non Hollywood productions
I think you might be right
Netflix doubles down on K-dramas with a $2.5 billion investmentSo, when are you gonna get Goblin on Netflix?www.theverge.com -
This show only made noise because of Jennie
Well, yes. I would probably not have been aware (or only vaguely aware) this show existed if not for her, and some memes making fun of the Weeknd's acting in the end.

This so much.
I mean, look at this comment below. The frustration is palpable.
Talking about sanity when the frustrated hate just drips from the post: -
Looked to me as if he skipped over it while mouthing other lyrics of the song.
Also, I don't get the impression that any of the people here actually care about it. They just want to desperately find a reason to hate BTS and are frustrated when other people are like 'meh, he skipped that part'.
What a sad collection of people here (some in this thread).

Lisa is doing very well on Spotify too

This reminds me to stream their songs now

I don't think StayC has that many dedicated international fans anyway.
And with that I mean the ones that actually stan and don't just say 'I like them', stream a song twice after a comeback and then go back to the groups they actually stan.
So, for them it's probably more important to focus on the Korean market
-
There are quite a few groups/idols that are popular amongst Kpop fans, but when I say 'popular' I mean popular with multis that 'stan' 40 groups or as a secondary group. I think this particularly happens with GGs for some reason.
So these people might have light sympathy for the idol, try a song once (if that), but then go back to doing other stuff.
Jihyo seems to be well respected and liked in the KPop community, but that doesn't mean massive streaming unfortunately.
I am guilty of this as well sometimes, which is why I add songs to playlists so that I can listen to them a lot.
Still wish I could support more idols and their music than I do, but there are only so many hours in a day.

I don't know much about J-Hope, but I am sure he is a top Idol as well!
And also Lisa, definitely born to be an idol!Yes definitely.
J-Hope has that energy and he is also dance leader of BTS, so he is very influential in how they perform

Are we talking youtube?
I think there is less streaming of Youtube anyway.
Everyone is focusing on Spotify now

But I do agree and get the frustration when a group strays from the sound that got them into the group. Imagine if Blackpink starts sounding like Lovelyz. Imagine if New Jeans start sounding like Everglow. Imagine they did that for not just one release, but multiple releases. I get the frustration fans can feel. Many Onces still prefer the brighter stuff, most just aren't as vocal about it as Dreamer. The last Korean released I love was Talk That Talk.
I get your point and I can kind of get Dreamer too (though not the anger/name calling).
Maybe that was the song he loved a lot and then he liked Jihyo performing it. Can understand it breaks the spell a little when the idol then clearly dislikes it.
