Also this is random and not related.. but I’d prefer if all of BTS MV didn’t have BH logo in the beginning and the MV was uploaded on their own YouTube page and the members had their own individual YouTube accounts for their solo work.
I don’t know even when I first got into BTS, BH logo being in front of their MV and it being uploaded on companies YouTube pages bothered and annoyed me.. even with SM ent.. like why is your logo on The music videos. It’s annoying and very tacky imo.. I get it’s marketing trying to paint a “family narrative” but that shot doesn’t work in the end and I get why SVT stans were mad when pledis did the same thing. Ans. Ow their music videos are under BIG HIT LABELS. I believe artist should be seen as individual entities and respected as such. Kpop sees these idols as property.. belong to them, and that’s why they don’t have a problem BRANDING them in a sense.. I HATE IT! YG is one of the only major companies that I feel get it right in THIS regard.. setting the members up with their OWN channels and making them build themselves up! But at least BH always for artistic and creative freedom!
Imagine Columbia Records or Atlantic Records putting all their artist music videos on one page. US record labels typically in out their logos on albums and it’s usually on the back at the very bottom.
