The deluxe version of BE has sold half of what MOTS7 has sold but made 2x the profit.. I don’t think BH is disappointed in BE sales!

There were some other post (can’t find them now)
Basically the industry ain’t making no money, 3rd gen is dying/disbanding and 4th gen ain’t making no noise and are flopping digitally, album sales are higher but even then the idols themselves aren’t making much money! And with the expenses these groups have even the album sales aren’t sufficient.
And of course with touring not happening right now, an even bigger chunk of revenue is cut, offline concerts are only possibly or profitable for groups with large enough fan bases, but you can’t keep doing them back-to-back like a regular tour!

Not at all, what defines K-Pop for me and what makes it exciting is the combination of several forms of entertainment into one product.
Unfortunately, it's evident that individual factors (notably music, performances) are lacking in some artists when compared to those that focus purely on music, performing, etc... There's not many groups with the full package but when the whole thing is presented it's amazing and surpasses any other type of audio-visual entertainment in my opinion. And the sad thing about this is that many of these groups not only are the music TERRIBLE, but so are the performances.. the severe lack of talent and contrived and obvious assigned over the top personalities to appeal to the tween/teen stans! Ew

The music industry wether in kpop or the US has never 100% been about music, however kpop is disgustingly moreso about looks (visuals) and fantasizing, infantilization and shipping.
