i dont agree, idols (and celebrities/influencers) look better than your average person because they live off their image, they spend the whole day taking care of their hari/face/body

obv there are the ones who are natural beauties but I'd say they're the minority, just like the naturally skinny idols

Kpop aside, a lot of upcoming artists are being forced by their companies to take off riffs, make their songs smaller, use trendy words etc so they could go viral in tiktok. Obviously it’s a choice and anybody could just not do it, but it makes you think how much potential good songs are not being developed because companies are killing creativity in order to follow trends.

This is something that has happened since music became an industry, yes I know. But is it something you want to support? I may consume some of this music but I understand why it’s not good in the long run.

Just the other day I was thinking about EXO. I wasn't really a fan and even had my differences with exols but damn did SM played them dirty. They were once one of their poster boys and SM didn't bother to actually give them proper support once they decided to focus on NCT.

She's brave for speaking up by herself about such a big company, I really hope she can at least get compensation for what she went through and, hopefully, shine a light on the abuse of trainees in these companies. Absolutely none of this comes a surprise to anyone that follows the kpop industry, and staff abuse has been a thing for years, I remember scandals like this were more common in the past I wonder if companies now are better about covering it up.

I hope she excluded the executives and JYP for the sake of playing politics, and not bc she genuinely thinks they have no part in that.
