Because how is it not the same group when sajaegi is still being used to throw dirt on their career? As if that was the reason they succeeded? It has been what, 9 YEARS? Multiple investigations???? And ZERO evidence of such. Even at that shit show national assembly it was said that there was no evidence to support these claims of sajaegi.
they hated fortuna because fortuna told them the truth!

I agree with others, whoever listens to ATP and then listens to Hard to Love will be pleased
I wonder tho if its under her name on spotify, On the Ground is great but Hard to Love is better

It's obtuse and disingenuous to act like this reaction isn't largely due to the fact this is literally the first time in kpop history we got to see actual documents of this practice - the so called viral marketing, market evaluation and interference with rival companies and groups-
Yes, we all knew kpop companies have most likely always done this, but it has always been a speculation, an open secret; something everyone knew happened but could neither prove or refute with absolute conviction. This time however, we're looking at the irrefutable evidence and the actual reports with our own eyes.
I do agree this reaction is warranted, considering what is being released, but you cannot act like people in this thread aren’t literally posting articles that single out HYBEs report lol I hardly disagree it’s an open secret when it’s things kpop fans say in daily basis on forums, it’s literally the kpop industry being written down by what it is. Still, that shows how immature as a company HYBE is, people say shit in corporate? Absolutely. Write it down? Never! That’s what corporate language is for.

Debut wise it’s the biggest but imo it’s tied with magnetic which was also released this year

It's funny when you see idols interviews and realize they have an introvert personality. Bc in the MVs they act all fierce and stuff, and in interviews they get shy towards strangers

Yeah, after ON their plans were all scrapped, Dynamite success was something they didn't expect so I undertsand that it was like navigating in foreign water, but.... ON featuring Sia?? Permission to Dance? At the time it didn't seem like good choices and still doesn't lol
But like you said, it's been 4 years, I'm really excited to see what genres they'll have in their next release since the music scenario changed so much and members gained experience with their solos

As a fan of the group I feel like the company is really bad at PR control (and PR in general), things most on the corporate side, lack of legal action. Creative wise I don't think there's anything to complain about rn, but there was a clear lack of direction for the group after Dynamite, but My Universe was 100% great no complaints.

I mean, as entertaining and cute as it is to see kpop fans clutch their pearls in shock and pretend that such practices are brand new in kpop, especially when they refused to acknowledge that they used to happen in the past, it's still way worse with Hybe.
I will say this again and again and again..
Not only did they try to build their whole image as a better company that cares about artists, but they had to deal with such constant shade with BTS by other companies and industry people. To see them do the same thing to their own groups and other small groups is really disappointing and disgusting.
Pretending to be morally superior to the other shady companies and then do exactly like they had been doing to other groups is peak hypocrisy.
It's also obvious that they don't have the long-standing connections in the industry to get away with shady and greedy actions, the way the other big companies have done so for so long. That's what also happens when you try to make everyone your enemy by trying to buy their companies left and right in order to be the kpop overlord.
They had such a nice thing and their greed ruined it. I will never not be salty about it.
I'm dying bc I was just about to write the first part here, it's very funny to see this outrage. Obvioulsy it doesnt excuse HYBE and it's very sad to see a company that had the opportunity to be different and threw it all away bc of greed. I agree 100% with what you said.

Also the akgaes are having a wild day with this, they're so annoying omg

Like many said I don't think they're leaving bc of contract and bc of loyalty too (personally I think it plays a big part), but I see them distancing themselves as solos from the company.
That said many people are using this to attack BTS especially some old SM stans, they're still very resentful bc BTS ended every kpop group record and monopolyzed award shows for years so this is their time to shine lol Anyway I dont think this will end HYBE, other companies went through worst and came out fine, but I'm very curious to see how they'll handle this, theyre so bad at PR this can affect them internally like with employees and shareholders

I thought it was bc of their live singing
The general public doesnt care tho, magnetic was kpop biggest global hit this year

This always happens when it's a celebrity. The police etc drag it on like a dog and pony show. It's utterly ridiculous. BUT it does serve a purpose. Doing this ridiculous shit. Shows the public that they can have faith in their justice system. Two it serves as a deterrent by showing others that you too will be dragged through the mud. It's also done to prove to society that even the rich and famous get prosecuted too and that the system is fair. Lastly specific Police chief's and prosecutors drag it out to advance their career having the "bust" of a life time under your belt really makes your resume pop
Yeah I understand what you said perfectly. Also I understand the purpose you said, still from an outsider point of view tho it’s just ridiculous and a media circus, anyway it is what it is, at least no one can say he is not being held accountable.

It’s way too much but for a celebrity that lives from their image it’s better this way, he made the right decision. Now no one can complain he got an easy pass or he didn’t take this seriously.
Still, it’s definitely weird being treated like this, I really hope this media circus won’t affect him much and he can come back stronger.

The only reason I can see its because he is a high profile idol, idk I think the media will drag this so much just like jks fender bender
