Considering how so many actresses and trainees have said there's a sponsorship culture, how a successful businessman/chaebol is socially above entertainers especially idols and plus the conservative culture where marrying well is a silent duty for women, it's not really surprising.

Most of them barely finished high school or straight up dropped out with little skills and certainly not enough for a successful career that can maintain the lifestyle they're used to. So when you're 35+, the industry has already deemed you too old and there's nothing left to fall back on what do you do?

I can think of several idols who's families were exposed as scammers and criminals and not one of them was kicked out of their group. I've never seen an idol thrown out behind something somebody else did
