False KTL performed better than hylt & lsg in many western countries lol
It had better legs than hylt in almost every western country
This in no way contradict what I have said

Flop
The rap itself is bad enough in execution but played inside the music breaks the flow. This could be mitigated by using the rap parts as bridges (ex: Monster) or ways to create a climax to the chorus (ex: Love Me Right). Doesn't help there is a sudden out of place trap in minute 2 that lasts until the last chorus repetition
The chorus itself is good, but a waste when the rest of the songs sucks.

Old man listen to this long term kpop
boomerfan (me) who followed charts in 2018: It was obvious D4 was going to chart on Hot 100.As If It's Your Last charted in the Burbling Under organically i.e. with no fandom push, D4 reaching the main chart with much more hype (it was their first album) was a given.
What was unprecedented with D4 was its absolute domination in SEA countries, catapulted BP to A list stars overnight. By the end of the era Blackpink were household names across all Asia, as we could see by the bombastic debut for Kill This Lovr reaching astonishing 5 million debut on Spotify way back in 2019 when they were still relatively unknown in USA and other western countries

I votes for music, but thinking carefully I think their concept and styling is their biggest appeal for me, It's beautiful, cute refreshing and very carefully well thought in every release.
I know this for a fact because there are tons of artists who I love the songs but don't bother to follow and watch every content, dance practice and performance.
Example: TxT. By far my favorite 4th gen Boygroup, I listen to them regularly and love 80% of their discography but simply can't get into them
For in my ranking concept and style comes first, and music and production comes second.

loved their debut. If the comeback is again of my taste I will definitely join the fandom

The bp /NJ similarities thing is absurd to me they seem like entirely different grps aura and branding wise
focusing on the fact that they have foreign members, have fashion deals etc as similarities is so nonsensical but u do u
Imho, The comparison only exists because NJ is the biggest group by far
If anything we can all be wrong and NJ end being the Twice (the biggest group In Korea which they are already, despite the claims of delulu Ive fans) who peaked in their first/second year at least in the bigger hits and the "true" biggest global long-lived girlgroup still yet to debut.
I wouldn't discharge new Hybe girlgroup, they will put massive money on them
-
No BP got bigger in 2019 and even during that time there were some debates about it.
Humm, D4 was bigger hit than anything Twice put out after 2016, and they also released Foreger Young which was a hit in pair with Twice's 2018 releases. BP was really hot in 2018, as we could see for the explosive release of Jennie's solo.
But anyway, 2018 or 2019, it's clear how in 2020 both groups were in completely different levels of popularity and this gap only became wider and wider within time. Can you see Blackpink charting 32, 20 and 94 like Twice last 3 singles? I honestly can't, for me Blackpink is like Bigbang they will hardly flop, will always have some kind of cult following to at least put their major releases in the top 10. This kind of recognition is VERY uncommon for idols and Twice definitely don't have it. That's why I think this whole debate is a bit outdated, Blackpink is the biggest 3rd gen GG in Korea
Edit: Maybe if Twice go on hiatus for like 4-5 years they can comeback with a hit based on nostalgia. It works sometimes, but it will need proper marketing
-
Honestly, Twice was only bigger in Korea than Blackpink until 2017, since 2018 Blackpink has outcharting them. Comparing their digital performance since 2020 is... like, two different levels enterily
Blackpink is soon scheduling their dates on Gocheok Sky Dome, while Twice couldn't even fill a single date in KSPO Arena. This will be the last nail in coffin to anyone who truly believes Twice is somehow bigger than BP in Korea just because they released more hits 7 years ago

A bop though, Love Roxette

Cream soda already crossed one month icaro are you talking about it released Jul 10 it’s already Aug 18 👀 it’s charted for 5 weeks already right
The charr that reflects the first week after the first month is the next one
-
You always say to me they debuted with God's Menu, so It's pre debut content
Iconic debut and iconic comeback with Back Door, yeah Stray Kids peaked in their debut year I fear, time to disband
-
I'm sure their last flop english song was shpposed to be added in a next album, maybe a full album. Hybe was planning it to be a hit, unfortunately thing did happen as expected and they might not rush an album release anymore
-
No I mean for cream soda probably won’t end them that much but now I know it’s also not a complete failure
Looking at icaro predictions cream soda may end up with more than 50mil points or whatever which is like way more millions than I ever thought it’ll get
If Cream Soda is going to collapse it will be next week when the songs complete its first month charting
If it has a smooth decline, then you can breath

This is basically Blackpink vs NJ debate. Do not really apply to TxT vs Stray Kidd. They have similar age and similar same number of comebacks and title tracks and similar
I mean, you are free to argue but when we have four different Stray Kids albums (some of them more than 2 years old) moving more streams than the TxT biggest blockbuster there is nothing much to think
Of course, Stray Kids has a bunch of 2018/2019 albums that bombed hard and nobody listen nowadays (sorry Stays, I have to say that) which what drags their average down, but since Stray Kids started to be successful in 2020 their album average daily streams have been significantly bigger than TxT

6-8 weeks..and they made 2.5mil last week even if you give them then full 2.5mil points every week for 8 weeks that’s about 20 million more points and they’re not gonna do that it’ll slowly reduce. If I was to predict I’d predict 60 million not 85 million. That’s significant enough for me.
They are at 47. In the year end chart they also count the points of the song outside the top 100 which will bring at least more 15 million points (it added 20 million for SRR, 15 million for S Class is a given)
My only concern is... with only 80 million it will miss the top 200 of the YEC. I forgot this little detail.
But another fair way to compare both songs is to see how much both of them did while charting. S Class will make 60 to 65. Sugar Rush did 87 million. Whether you find this gap significant or not is up to you
