I read multiple sources a few weeks ago saying the South Korean government will come to a decision in late April. Now it's May and I haven't heard of anything new. I assume we will still get an answer soon but with BTS having a comeback in June, I'm pretty conflicted. After all, this is the biggest boy group in the world and this decision will have to be well thought out. But I have also read that the government has been discussing this for a long time already.
Am I missing something?

idk. but I do know the longer the government, company, WHOEVER keeps dragging this the members will only suffer. Some people might not want to hear this but BTS only has to lose from skipping the army. Yes they would loose 1.5 years to make money (as if they need it lol) and risk loosing a little bit of popularity (the horror!) but if they don't go they risk their reputation and reception in Korea due to bitterness from men who served + appearing hypocritical for saying they would serve in earlier statements. Surely BigHit and Armys have enough confidence in Armys' loyalty they know 1.5 years of military won't ruin BTS careers...no?

I kinda agree with this. I don’t want BTS to lose the reputation they worked so hard on in their own country.
If they had to enlist, then so be it and I hope they enlist together.
They have up to the age of 30 as it's an ammendment made for Kpop Stars
