Does the format of the album matter anymore in terms of sales

Previously we always noted how full album sold the most followed by mini and single album would likely sell the least. But since last year I feel like it doesn't matter what the format is, fans will buy no matter what due to the sudden post covid sales boom in kpop. The only thing that I would say still matters as it always have been is global/US distribution which really does boost sales.

No it doesn't matter. That's why so many idols are releasing minis these days. Cheaper production, higher profits.

it literally doesn't matter,I kinda laugh when people imply it should sell better cuz it's a full album lol. Just look at what bts sold with that butter single or lisa and rose outselling almost all ggs with theirs
