I think it depends on whether you have emotionally invested in an idol. To me, it does not matter, because I have never followed their activities. I have only listened to music.

hmm I think for me I like to take a "separate the art from the artist" kind of approach. I can still enjoy the music despite the bad actions of the person behind the music.

But that's not easy for everyone to do. I do agree if you're more emotionally invested in the artist, it can be harder.
