It's always a coin toss. Chart performance gives the song exposure to the voters, but it doesn't guarantee win. Dynamite has both quality (it still sounds so fresh and fun) and chart performance to back it up and it would be a shame if it doesn't win.

I think KMAs is a better example of the kpop stans not getting what they want if awards are given out without sales not being the criteria.

If i am not wrong it's the longest running top10 among all the other nominated songs. It was a successful song.
I have been sorting through past nominations. It’s always a toss between quality and success. Sometimes the biggest songs win and sometimes the unknown song wins(but even those wins were from international artistes like UK or European which was pretty interesting to know)
If Taylor is getting ALOTY then it means she’s sweeping the whole Grammy because it shows that she got a lot of voters gunning in for her already. But if she should lose any of her nominations before pop duo category is announced, then there is hope for BTS because it shows that the voters aren’t that much on her side
