Besides spotify what does red velvet actually beat aespa in?

    reveluvs have convinced themselves that they are some huge gg in the west qnd have been on aespa neck since they got us talent agency


    But by all accounts it seem aespa has better numbers than then in everything minus spotify (which is only Psycho and Bad Boy) yet Queendom has less streams than Savage?

    RV are still more famous than Aespa and despite being inconsistent, RV have way more known songs than Aespa which is obvious giving the time of debut, but it's you who started comparing a rookie group with a +7years group. RV also has a better stage presence which isn't that good, but this just shows how bad Aespa is.

    Aespas singing was awesome! people are praising their live vocals. Not trying to be rude but red velvet live vocals when dancing are not that great, when standing still yes but when dancing it's pretty weak

    I like both groups but RV has nothing on them considering rv are late into their careers and aespa are just starting. Both are very talented tho

    I would say:

    Music (which goes with Spotify)

    Visual CFs (for now) but Winter is 2nd most searched after IU in Korea so I think she can take over

    Aespa songs + dances are much harder than RV, you can't compare the two.

    More recognition (for now)

    I think RV's popularity is more well rounded for sure and ofc RV have more individual recognition now.

    If I was to compare Aespa and RV as rookies in popularity :

    Winter > Irene/Karina > Joy/Seulgi/Ningning> Wendy > Giselle > Yeri

    Having psycho and badboy as titletracks hoping aespa could get tts as the same quality as those two next

    wendy wouldnt be that low bc she was super hyped as a rookie and ppl argued over if she was the visual and abt her vocals skills.

    also yeri would be more popular than giselle bc she got so much attention (and hate) for joining the group later on but she also had fans from smrookies

    id also say that seulgi was more popular than joy and ningning at debut but the rest of it seems on point

    People, more like aespa stans. They sounded good for a group that always lipsyncs. I’ll give them that. But rv sound better live

    RV is more artistic and less artificial. They also have better album sales and better overall reputation

    Some Red Velvet hater or Aespa hater (or both, an SM gg hater) creates a set up thread to bait fanwars, and by the direction and the wording, I can even guess who it's been... you ain't slick at all.


    Reveluv and MYs haven't been 'on eachother's neck' at all, stop the fake news narrative, that's something that real haters of SM's girl groups like RV and Aespa would love for it to be true, especially the ones who have actually been bashing these groups and fandoms all the time like the stans of a certain other company and its groups.


    Red Velvet have higher Spotify MLs and album sales, Aespa have better popularity in SK where they only have to let BP above them, no other gg.

    RV are in their 8th year now. Just like with EXO and TWICE, who have climbed down from their peaks to the point that even younger 4th gen groups are surpassing them in more and more areas, it's a natural cycle of life that the newer groups will rise and slowly surpass the older groups.

    But both Aespa and RV too are doing great right now, something that both RV and Aespa fans can be proud of.



    I know that some haters and stans of certain other groups will grab the opportunity this thread offers to once again shade Aespa, or Red Velvet or both. But Aespa and RV fans should take care not to fall into the obvious baiting trap of the OP, who's a hater of at the least 1 of both groups.
