what makes gidle so different from lightsum

it has been months since their last comeback, even IVE that debuted later than them has made their comeback. what makes lightsum so different from gidle ?

they arguably has better vocal line than gidle, and juhyeon alone beats gidle's best dancer by miles. now that soojin left the group, juhyeon is now sitting comfortably on top of cube's dance line. they even have a japanese member, something that gidle is missing.

people argue that they have 4 members that fits girl crush and the other 4 fits cute concept, and is that not an advantage to your group ? you can let some members thrive in the concept they mostly fit in and creates a very nice and diverse concept. why is cube holding them back ? is it just because lightsum's debut were made to quell gidle's controvery ?

Gidle are more creative and have more interesting concepts

It doesn’t matter how much talent you have if ppl don’t like ur shit.

1. Gidle have Soyeon. Female idols who are both self-producing and considered impressive rappers are a lot more rare than good dancers or good vocalists and thus get noticed easier.
2. Gidle's concepts are more unique, and their songs are also more unique and better. The members also have more distinguishable visual and musical personas. Even if Lightsum are more talented, they're dragged down by subpar presentation.

G idle have Soyeon and Soyeon besides being a extremely savvy leader also is a genius at making pop music. They already caught attention since debut for having great and different songs and concepts like Latata followed by Hann. Lightsum looks very generic in comparison.

Cube messed up Lightsum's debut by giving them generic concepts and songs that totally ignored the potential strengths of the group and individual members.

Their last song was different and they have good stage presence (Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi are all very charismatic on stage, especially their last comeback)

Their debut had nothing to do with the Idle controversy. Cube had announced the debut of a ngg before that mess happened.

IVE had their first comeback. Lightsum already had a comeback after their debut.

They'll get a lot more leeway than CLC. That's saying something because CLC has an extensive discography with many comebacks. People think they've been neglected and in the dungeon their whole careers. Cube had been quite generous in the support they gave CLC but at some point, you need to cut your losses.

Lightsum has already outperformed CLC in sales when you compare their best-selling albums.
