88rising has always been about the memes. Their brand image is intentionally derpy. Look at Rich Brian and Joji, two of their most popular artists. They're great artists, but they don't take themselves seriously.

I don't think they're really knowledgeable about K-pop other than that they see it as more Asian representation, something they're on board with.

K-pop fans overthinking things through K-pop lens again… xD
