Blackpink is not in YG Family

It has gotten very obvious lately, with YG deliberately BP out of any of their cringe "YG family" branding posts and videos and now the TOP mess.

Winner seems to be the closest to BP in YG, which makes sense because they seem to have trained with them the longest. I think iKON also seems to like them but they just aren't close thanks to YG not letting them speak to each other after the whole Miyeon dating an iKON member situation. And then there's 2NE1 and Big Bang.

I don't think BB's dislike of BP is because of 2NE1. BB was obviously okay with BP back in their early days, there's plenty of videos of them chatting at SBS Gayo 2016 and all BP members were invited to Taeyang's wedding. Even at the start of HYLT era there was some interaction. So what changed between June 2020 and now? Perhaps it The Album outselling every BB release and then some and cementing BP as YG breadwinners? Because what TOP did today was fucking shady lol praise 2NE1 all you want but there were 321310 tweets about their Coachella performance that didn't mention BP so why not use one of those instead

Honestly with YG excluding BP from the still life reaction thingy, it's seeming more and more like YG the company has a grudge on BP. Maybe it's cause the girls themselves don't wanna release music. Or maybe it's cause there all not re-signing, who knows. But BP definitely is not in the YG family, that's for sure.

The Miyeon thing did not affect the trainees. Jisoo was photographed with a boyfriend as a trainee, Jennie dated a trainee called Teddy (not producer Teddy). YG didn't care about dating.

And the TOP thing is not YG v Blackpink because TOP left YG this year. He also famously said there is no YG Family, it just sees it as a job.

And what would the backlash have been if BP were involved from their fans?

YG getting them involved in their criminal group? YG trying to get publicity for their boygroups through BP?

If BP had recorded a reaction vid to Big Bang's new song before any kind of comeback content, anyone with two brain cells knows what the backlash would have been. That's ignoring that there are currently unconfirmed dating rumour between GD and Jennie which add another big layer to it. There are so many aspects to it that would have garnered the wrong kind of attention.

Citing the reaction video as YG ignoring Blackpink is just dumb.

It's just 1 thing, I wouldn't think too much of it, even if it was clumsy.

This is funny because it's TOP himself who is no longer in YG, he left YG even before the last BB cb.

TOP was always a very private person and out of all BB member he was the only one that never interacted with his juniors under YG, I don't even remember if he ever acknowledged Winner & iKon, let alone BP.

Anyway BP is definitely more part of The Black Label fam than YG fam but the reason is not because of the recent TOP's shady post.

But the girls weren't even in Korea, maybe thats why they didn't participate in the reaction of still life.
