Tyongfs solo stans are so entitled. TY gets the most opportunities from SM yet they often complain about his solo schedules. I get that it could be because he is one of the first ones to enlist but c’mon compared to Taeil? Johnny? Jungwoo? They’re getting crumbs compared to him. SM is probably pushing him as a producer/songwriter with all his solo opportunities but not sure if it is working. I don’t actually enjoy most of his solo stuff and I know some NCTzens don’t as well especially with Diamonds. I prefer the other members’ solos Mark’s in particular and think he has potential as a solo artist.
And I know it’s a sin in NCity to say this but how much longer are we gonna pretend that Taeyong is actually good at rapping. Jaehyun literally out raps him every time he gets a chance. Like for Sticker, Taeyong came right out the gate and ruined the song in the first 25 seconds. If it wasn't for Doyoung's vocals bringing me back around, I would have clicked off immediately. Literally worst start of a song ever. But of course as usual the b-sides are top tier and Jaehyun really shined on the album.
Honestly sometimes, I wish there was less raps by TY but I know right now, his rapping kinda become synonymous with 127's sound and it will sound so different without him. The NCT2020 beyond live that he didn't participate in due to an injury gave me whiplash when they had others sub for him. It did sound good but it was so weird to my ears.
And about Jaehyun, I wish he got more opportunities. I know the drama was a stepping stone but sadly it got canceled in Korea. The guy sometimes trends without doing anything! SM should take advantage of it and stop with the obvious favoritism.
