Have any of your faves ended up being problematic? If yes, how did you feel about it?

  • Yeah I remember how he said crying hard on No.Mercy when they asked why he wanted to be an idol that he gave a lot of trouble and money issues to his mom and he wanted to repay her. And he really did. I dont care what people say about Wonho I know he genuinely have a good heart and I admire his ambition and work ethic a lot. Even when his future was uncertain and MX was just getting more popular he decided to take the L instead of waiting for Starship to make a decision.

I'm a recent fan and have only seen a little of No Mercy. I know they didn't have a good experience in it and haven't had that much desire to watch it. Everything I have seen of Wonho though makes me think that he is an earnest hardworker. People judge him for his outfits and other stuff that just doesn't matter imo.

  • It depends on what your definition of “problematic” is. My faves were (probably still are) deemed problematic. I personally don’t see them that way (and I like to think I have a pretty strong moral compass.) They’re not perfect angels and never set themselves as such so I continue to stan.

  • Yes, and the last time that happened, I immediately quit the fandom. See my username for reference. There was never any apology given, not by the company and neither the idol, and the fandom in turn blindly threw up shields and attacked anyone who was trying to speak up about the issue.

it was quite the wake-up call. And ever since then, I knew I never wanted to be one of "those" types of Kpop stans ever again.

I think I know what incident you're talking about. I'm sorry you had that experience, but I'm glad it made you want to be an even better person because of it. That is a pretty good goal to have. Have a great day/night!
