What about Txt makes them “bland”?

  • Many people here said Txt is cute and make good music but they’re bland. But what exactly about them make them bland and how can they improve?

hearing a person's voice is always better for understanding their true feelings

  • Their voices are hard to distinguish for a non-fan. I've seen a lot of moas being confused by who sings what too. Doesn't help they all use the same breathy way to sing, presumably to make their vocals sound more interesting but it doesn't work imo

Their performances. They lipsync a lot and don't have great stage presence.

Their music always feels overly calculating, watered down, and restrained, to me personally. Some people are into that it's very easy listening, but I wish there was anything interesting going on. I've tried listening to their songs but noticed they get boring quicker than the average kpop song.

Their skill levels are too similar. They're above average dancers, passable vocals, not really rappers, and that's all.

  • Their vocals and visuals.

Everyone already said a lot about vocals so I will talk about visuals.

I don't deny they are all good looking but their visuals are too similar to each other. I prefer groups with distinctive looking members even if he might not fit Korea's beauty standard.

  • I don't find txt bland at all. There's another group from that company that is bland.

  • They've fun personalities I don't think they're bland but ever since they started pushing one member others starting to seem bland and unattractive. It's like suzy situation. It's like hybe doesn't even want them to experiment or show their true potential. They'll look bland to non fans (I'm not a fan) but I've watched some of their content.

  • people already explained why they are bland vocal and visual wise, so i'll just talk about their personality.

it feels like they were put together 2 months ago to form txt, they still feel forced and a bit akward.

you shouldn't change your personality, but being an idol entails more than just singing on stage.

they are doing fine with the spotify numbers & album sales (not dominating, but doing okay), but the boys themselves said they weren't satisfied with the amount of views their reality show on youtube got. These are exactly things that count on the idol being entertaining enough that even casual fans of the music turn in for their other contents too and becomes a real stan...

  • They're so uniform and samey and they lack individuality.

Exactly! But txt are always autotuned beyond recognition so you can't hear their real voices or understand their feelings.

  • I'll give my opinion as non fan. Hybe played it safe with them, they aren't bad but there's nothing that stands out about them either.

Stage presence: it's not like they are bad but they are still lacking, yeonjun is their best performer but it's not like he's amazing either

Skills: they aren't bad dancers and they are mediocre singers, bad rappers. They don't excel at anything.

Music: this comes to preference. It's in line with the rest, their music isn't bad per se but I don't find it very interesting it either.

4th gen are going for all rounded groups, I think they are making a mistake with this, having someone who excel at something will level the group up. The similar skills between all the members only works when all of them are amazing like mmm with vocals or itzy with dancing and not when all the members have similar average skills. TXT biggest problem they don't stand out at anything, visuals, singing or dancing, stage presence or music, they don't have something that set them apart from the rest of groups.

Sorry for being a bit harsh with them, me not finding them very interesting it doesn't mean others can't love them, TXT is a good group but there's something lacking about them. Again to txt fans, don't take my opinion too seriously, different strokes for different folks. There's nothing that will be universally loved by everyone.

where and when did they said that :?:

  • Hmm as a casual listener of txt, I’ll just say that the music is the only thing I like about them. Their stages and personalities don’t attract me in anyway. I won’t say they are technically bad but their performances feel too restrained and too polished. I’ve also noticed they lip sync on some of their stages and sometimes their backtracks are fucking loud. I guess this may be that they are a junior group and so they can’t be forthright raw with their fans like their seniors. But they need to work on their own unique presence because right now I can’t even imagine a solo stage with any of them. The stage will swallow them up.

But compared to other 4th Gen groups I’ll say txt aren’t doing too bad. Compared to the edgy stages made by other boy groups, I much rather prefer their colorful soft looking ones. It makes them stand out from the others but the bar is currently low if anything

Their music is mainly produced by slow rabbit. He's the most unique composer under hybe so it's no surprise that they why have so many caudla listened. I also like their music.

also i remember Yeonjun saying something about wishing they could surpass the views of their older MV's. There is nothing wrong with having these goals, but them giving a very specific number to hopefully reach is pretty telling. Getting more interaction on your other content is dependent on how much you can engage people.

  • I see TXT as HYBE's "Winner". They make solid music, but they only have one stand-out member and they'll probably never become a huge group but what they do put out is worth listening to.

  • They lack it factor, stage presence

  • As always some jealous moa is trying to make it about another group. :suure: We all know who is bland and it's your TXT, stop dragging En- into it when the thread is about your faves.

Is this user talking about enhypen? I wasn't sure so I didn't reply. As a fan of neither enhypen has much more stage presence and individuality I've only watched their few performances of blessed curse and they're not bland at all let's not be biased here

I'm pretty sure they are since a lot of them have a hate boner for Enha

  • I will give my opinion as a moa, but never representing the entire fandom. the easiest way to know them is from the interview with Jessi: yeon and beom have a goofy vibe + beom likes to tease, tae is serious and childish, hyuka is a cutie-pie, soobin is sweet. I don't think their personalities are faked because what attracts fans is someone male who is happy 24/7, playful and the fanservice that yeon hasn't done for a year. don't feel awkward between them just look at a TODO or one of the birthday messages from him. I think they lack stage presence and people like soobin would eat up a stage for themselves, they lack in shows to create fun moments. but then why am I a fan? because they are like 5 more friends, who are very sincere with their profession, they make fun of moa, they express their affection in their own way, they are clear that they do not like being idols and that yes, they give their all and they know what they lack and what they have to offer. a clearer example is my bias Tae, who is a person I admire and is what I look for in my biases in general, he has things clear if he does not like something he says so, if he needs to perfect something he will work on it and share with his fans what he wants, he improves not only as an idol but as a person as well. I appreciated that he not only dances, sings and smiles at me, that he tells me if he went with his friends or if he has a hobby that he gives advice and makes fun of moa. that makes me feel close to them and I think it's their charm. I tried it with other idols but sometimes they focus too much on just being idols, txt for me has a bigger world, more hobbies, more life sometimes.
