why is hwasa not so popular these days?

  • she used to have hit songs and caused meat shortage in Korea. Now her songs don’t chart and she sells less than Yena. Why did her it girl status drop?

  • Well, in regards to "I'm a B". People chalk it up to bad timing. It would have been better as a summer release than a fall release.

She's only had one song since Maria that didn't do well lol

  • It's basically the career of popular female idols. They have a few years where they're among the most popular on the charts and in general but soon after they're nugu. Hyuna, Chungha, Sunmi, Hwasa etc.

It's only Taeyeon that has managed to keep her popularity and charting over the course of many many years. She's a huge anomaly.

We don't know how the Black Pink members might do because none have any CBs so far but they could possibly be more like Taeyeon with a longer career. That is if the ever have CBs....

  • People get easily bored of groups and idols. You eventually you fall off and stop being interesting. Maria was an exception since the song was kinda catchy and she promoted it on variety shows a lot. Maybe overexposure too

  • The same happened to Chungha and Sunmi. After a while, you've got to do something new to keep people's interest. All three are great artists, but they have to change things up.

  • maybe she should do another mukbang

  • Isn't she lying low for a while? Hwasa as a brand is still bagging cfs and trending on several k sites, one comeback doesn't determine an idols career.

Though the song didn't become mega hits like her previous comebacks, she was trending on several k sites for her style. She's still selling out stuff rapidly and people copy stuff she does as recently as last month.
