what if bts goes non-gp friendly next era?

  • what if bts drops their cheerful, family friendly songs and goes for something like Lisa-Money, Jay Park-Mommae. Would their fans and the public be here for the change?

    Approved the thread.
  • Money isn't non gp friendly. Say what if they go 18+ lol

  • anything would be better than ptd

  • Fuck that, we don't need BTS emulating the try hard, cringe swag like the 2 examples that OP gave are.

  • Not Money please.

But as long as the music is 👍, it's fine.

  • Even if bts goes for more hiphop, it better not be like Money. The beat was good enough to go viral, but i'll pretend the song doesn't exist if it has that kind of blaccent lyrics.

  • if non gp-friendly means we'll get another masterpiece like Black swan then I'm down with it.

But please not another On (specially those try-hard ancient man styling) :pepe-cross:

  • I want them to try something different. Something like emo rap with element of punk rock.

They've already done hiphop concepts like that but I wouldn't mind something in the vein of mic drop and ddaeng. Imagine if they had ddaeng as a title track though. That shit would be fire.

  • money’s lyrics are trash. why is that the example? it’s an insult to jay park and bts to even use that as comparison.

  • The only good thing about ptd are the lyrics and the members themselves. And also parts of the mv for the diversity.

Agree. but I wish they didn't go for the cowboy styling in the mv, if they just wear casual clothes, it would be much better than these over-the-top outfits.

I don't agree. They lack in substance. A lot.

I don't like these lyrics either but at least there's a clear message to deliver, much better than Dynamite and Butter lyrics.

Butter had better lyrics imo. It was clear what they were going for. Lyrics don't have to have 'positive meaning' for them to be good.

Butter had a clear message- BTS are hot, they know it and they'll flaunt it. While it lacks a bit of substance too, it wasn't trying to say anything about the world in the first place.

Ptd was trying to give a message. But it's so generic in it's lyrics that anyone could've written it. It comes out as those toxic positivity quotes we see in cringey self help books. No offense to anyone who liked it. We all have our preferences. But imo Bts themselves have written much better songs with positive messages.
