Ptd was trying to give a message. But it's so generic in it's lyrics that anyone could've written it. It comes out as those toxic positivity quotes we see in cringey self help books. No offense to anyone who liked it. We all have our preferences. But imo Bts themselves have written much better songs with positive messages.

the only good thing about PTD is the fact that no member was involved in the producing or writing..

the song isn't BAD (except for the autotune), but it's so generic and poppy i want to punch Ed for giving it to bts..

i'm sure whatever their next release is, as long as the members are involved with the production/writing process + pdoggs obsession with autotune & high pitched vocals is kept to a minimum, the song will be amazing & 100 times better than PTD.

BTS are going to keep releasing vapid teletubby pop until they get their Grammy. They really do not understand the assignment...

Anything from their Save Me - BST era could bag them a Grammy, but they obviously think we like to hear the kind of music you get from a Netflix romcom soundtrack. And they're being rewarded by their fans if no-one else. If only their fans had been truthful about BWL being a bit crap they might have stopped the quality landslide there and then.

not completely true, it's actually gp that's supporting these type of songs

BWL was a huge hit with k gp & dynamite was a monster hit worldwide, most of my non stan irls can sing that song completely & like it too (similar with butter, but in a lesser extend)... that also explains how these songs are still charting so well. BWL/dynamite/butter are still in the top100 on Melon & dynamite/butter are still in top100 and top50 on Spotify.

i do think hybe/bts saw the lukewarm reception of PTD with the fans,

in all my years as an army, i don't think i have ever seen a single be this disliked in the fandom
