  • NFTs are coming for everyone. Even Dolly Parton is doing NFTs.

  • <X<X<X

But before people go after Verivery we need to remember not to drag the artists themselves as it's probably entirely the company's doing

Except Sunmi y'all can drag her :sweatr:

haha yeah Sunmi did this to herself

  • I've seen this term a lot,but I still don't know what it is  all I know is that it's something bad?

It's just overall very sketchy/scammy on top of being horrible for the environment

It's basically a VERY EXPENSIVE certificate that says you own something but that doesn't at all stop someone from just right clicking the horrible art they bought for $15000 :cryingr:

  • at the end of the day it's a product so if some people want to buy it so be it - it may not be for you or me but somebody out there might be willing to buy it...

supply and demand - if there's demand for it then companies will supply it

a fool and their money are soon parted

But the thing is not really a "product". You dont own anything. At best you may have permission to use it for your own personal wants but that doesn't mean I can't do the same too (eg I can screenshot, copy code, re host it myself etc) and the actual owners can still do absolutely anything they want without your consent.

An nft is like owning the key to a mansion. You don't own the mansion or any of the contents. But because you only own the key there's nothing stopping the owners from selling more keys, refurbish the entire place, changing locks too keep you out or even blowing up the mansion. Look in the bright side, you still the key.

So basically a scam. And considering kpop is mainly aimed at a younger fan base they likely don't know the full implications of nft (not even I know because it's complicated, I was just explained the basics which is enough to put me off) they're going to be susceptible to bring scammed. So labels and idols pushing this isn't a good look.

  • hell nawh

I agree but others obviously don't see it that way...

I still consider it a product albeit a shitty one...

I understand what an NFT is but like I said it seems you understand it and I udnerstand it and we certainly aren't the target for those people trying to sell NFTs...

but someone is...someone is interested in buying them...

now whether they know the consequences of buying one or not that's up to them right?

now NFTs are jsut getting started in the kpop market but it's been around for a little bit from my understanding and to my knowledge it's not regulated at all so therefore like most unregulated and new products - it either should be regulated or if not then the people who are interested in buying them should research them carefully...
