well you might be surprised
countries just a bit smaller by land are Portugal, and Hungary
but both those countries have populations around 10M people, so much smaller
Ireland which is just bit smaller than SK by land area has... 10 times smaller population
Spain has 5 times bigger land area than South Korea, yet population is still smaller - 47M people
kind of closest country to SK in Europe could be UK which has 67M people, and land area of 242km2
that gets even closer when we add NK and SK land and population and compare it to UK
