NMIXX Has No Center. But K-Netz Suspect It's Kyujin?

  • Face of the group is usually given to the most attractive member by korean standard beauty. Center is usually given

to member who is the most popular one. There are some groups that have a member who fits into the role as one

and some groups separate it with designated members :cursing:

Isn't that definition of face of the group actually the visual?

I always thought of face of the group as the member that is most easily recognized as part of the group. Kind of carries around the group's brand with them.

Whereas I see Center more as the member on stage that ties everything together and makes it more cohesive and flow best.

But I see centers who still stand at the middle off-stage or off-performance like in photoshoots or in variety shows in

which the face of the group or the easily most recognized member as u say should be in the middle :cursing:

These kpop terms.... I swear.... :cursing:

    Agreed that they're confusing.

I see Center more about the on-stage performances. Not necessarily needing to be in the center of the formations all the time, but the member that leads the performances with their experience and charisma.

I see Face of the Group as the member that defines the group the best and is most easily recognizable. They don't need to be in the middle of photoshoots necessarily, but more the member that you would first think of (excluding biases) when a group is mentioned.

I see Visual as the member that most closely matches the Korean beauty standards. They can often be the focal point in photoshoots or CFs, but it's not a requirement.

I see Leader as the member that ties the group together behind the scenes, helps facilitate things with the company, and can often be the one to speak for the group in events and interviews.

But those are just my definitions.

  • What's the distinction between the center and the face though?

For my understanding after 10 years....

Visual, i think everyone agree is the one who is more attractive based on Korean standards.

Face, is the stan attractor, more popular or the one people think of when they refer to the group

Center, the one who gets more focus during promotions either because of looks or performance/dancing skills or both and sometimes can be interchangeable

Face and center are more complicated and get can get overlaped and even someone can be the 3 of these positions.

  • I do hope companies could explain us officially the difference which I think they won't

But your opinion makes sense. Only in the 3rd gen and 4th gen started this additional confusing term position when

2nd gen have it simpler :cursing:

  • its jinniFK-cCurVUAE_7Vq?format=jpg&name=orig

    Well, if that's the case...?

Jinni and Haewon are often sitting in the center for vlives and and video promotions, but her, Kyujin, and Haewon share center for photo releases (so far). And Kyujin has the center for performance. Jinni has been suspected, but there is no official center, and I think it will probably stay that way.
