    she's more than cute. she literally looks like a cgi charter at times. her visuals r a big WOW!

    but also, rmr cuteness SELLS atm. you see how chuu (and hyunjoo, when she was in her prime and not in a legal lawsuit) is SUPER popular.

    I mean she can pull off hard looks and cute looks


    and on top of that she was SM's secret weapon up until debut


    She's got it all, its no wonder she dominates.

    Winter was always popular since the beginning. She broke some fancam record when she debuted but she really blew up during savage when she cut her hair. That haircut made her cuter but also chic depending on how she was stylized. Aespa started going to variety shows during next level and savage (amazing saturday and knowing bros) and those videos started getting a lot of attention, the first time was when she sang iu song on knowing bros. It's been an accumulation.


    It's a mix of her cute and innocent looks and personality, chic/a bit of tomboy looks and her voice. Korea and Japan are loving her looks.

    I'm surprised it's not Karina that's blowing up. Sm was setting her up for that role from the beginning.

    I love it when someone really talented, especially a vocalist becomes very popular / an it girl. It's a rarity, Taeyeon is the only other one I can think of.

    Both of them are popular in terms of rookies but one has to be more popular than the other. Karina is doing more than fine for someone who isn't blowing up.


    Aespa just debuted so who knows how each member popularity will evolve in a few years. I just know when winter starts getting singing solo gigs she will get more popular.

    Winter is pretty cool, you get to throw snowballs at kpop fan geeks.

    Not even an Aespa stan, but she has my favorite female voice in kpop. Can’t wait for her to start releasing OSTs.

    This doesn't have anything to do with what you just said or popularity but hear me out:

    Winter's case is a bit different. Both Irene and Jaehyun are seen as the best visual in their respective groups but it's Karina who is more talked about in terms of looks on kforums afaik.
