Approved the thread. -
I would hire outside producers/songwriters instead using the ones of YG. YG style isn't for Treasure. They need different music and concept instead relying on hiphop or dropbeat with empty chorus and party dance at the end of each of their tt songs.
They have a great rap line but their vocals need more shine with better tt songs. Their bside are better than their TT for me.

They should cut the no. of their members to 7 .

but isn’t that yg’s signature? like beat drop makes people think of blackpink and party outtro is very big bang. outside producer may make them lose that “yg identity”

Idk, they're kinda weird considering they're from big 3 but their popularity just so so.
They're talented
Their music wasn't as horrible as like other groups
So I don't know what's wrong with them.
I think people just lose interest with yg group except after BS scandal, and I personally think that group with big members wasn't a popular concept for 4th gen bg (let's not talk about nct cause it's another matter entirely and they're not 4th gen bg too despite sm efforts trying to make them to be)

Sub units maybe (sorta like Seventeen)? To build a fanbase and recognition for each member. Right now there's a bunch of members that disappear in the crowd and basically just feel like filler members. Not because they aren't talented but because they overlap within the group. And some members that already stand out are still not able to show all they got because they share lines and center time with eleven others (and YG doesn't know how to balance it). Sub units would let them show off their individual charms and attract new fans.
And more comebacks. The whole starve tactic only works if each comeback is BP level quality. It must look like the fanciest, most explosive comeback that year or people will just lose interest and move on.

- No more prominent beat drops, party choruses at the end. (There are groups who pull that off very well but that's not Treasure). YG sound doesn't have to be about that. Instead, the choruses should be mostly sung, simple (even basic), easy-listening, and make use of some unique vocal colours in the group.
- No more "cool" concepts, no more cars and such. Lean heavier visually into that bright, refreshing theme. I'm thinking of multiple bright colours being used at once, amusement parks, fun props, "light" looking materials in the background, bright skies (instead of constantly filming indoors); of course not overdo it and leave space for the expression of emotions other than happiness.
- Also make the themes of their music be expressed in a softer, more emotional way. Love songs can stay, just don't try to blend them with a cool concept.
- Come up with an overarching plot/theme for their music videos. It doesn't have to be very complicated, or show in every scene or the video, just be there.
- Come up with easily noticeable, recurring styling tropes for the 5-6 members that have the most potential to stand out easily.
- Create a long-term subunit project. The members of units should vary, with half of the members being from the more popular half, the other being from the less popular half of the group. Make them release singles once in a while. Releases should occur with enough spacing between each other. The music should be at all times, different from what Treasure are usually doing as a whole group, and the songs should have MVs too: not necessarily expensive but memorable ones. Attempt to promote these songs without actually promoting them on music shows.
- 2 more comebacks in 2022, then 2 Korean comebacks every year.

- Yg sound doesn’t go well with them so I would change that and make their songs less noisy. And their choruses should have actual singing, not chanting or some beatdrop. Going crazy and wayo (yedams song) are 2 songs that were released before their debut and they are literally better than everything they released after.
- I would also change their image, their cool concept is try hard and cringe and doesn’t fit them. Smth like going crazy fits them perfectly.
- Make sub units and collabs between the members. They have too many members but since they already debuted at least some of the members get to show their skills more in that way.
- More comebacks. Having a comeback only once a year creates more hype for non fans to check out all the releases but I don’t think that’s worth it unless you’re blackpink.
-
Treasure doesn't need the identity of YG. They are different of all groups YG had so need to try different things. Music without drop or party end would fit them better.
Tbh, most of fan of them seem come from their reality show or personality instead music so if they can bring more fans with their music changing it, they are set to be a top group for 4th generation.
