Do you think it is rightful for Ningning to be dissed by KNetz?

    Approved the thread.
  • No. At first, I thought "How could she be this stupid?"

Until I saw the clarification that she made that post before the controversial win with the athlete. She's just really unlucky and I feel bad for her because knetz will be mad at her no matter what though because they already had huge anti-Chinese sentiments and just recently c-nets were attacking BTS for the same thing. So I guess for them it's an eye for an eye. Sucks that she has to be the scapegoat for their hatred.

On the other hand, if this affects Aespa in Korea, it's Mys karma.

  • Not really but then again internet do be doing internet things.

  • no

she made that post 2 days before the controversy so that means the Korean media is purposefully leaving out the date to create a fake narrative against her which is fucked up and completely unnecessary, showing the irrational hate koreans have for other asian nations.

and even if she had made the post about the controversial medal, she's Chinese after all and has the full right to support her country. knetz are acting way too extra over a piece of metal. sport isn't such a big deal for them to send xenophobic remarks at her

  • honestly no. what knetz are doing to her is absolutely vile

that being said, im a bit confused about chinese idols not being able to read the room in general.

everyone knows the tension between koreans and chinese, so i don't really understand why they won't just keep totally quiet in such situations. is it fair they should? HECK NO. it's stupid & so sad for the idols when they get in these kind of situations, but why even risk it? if i were a chinese idol, going to korea to start a carreer, i would try to keep away from anything that in some way could be politic related.

again i don't think it's fair for chinese idols & NN situation is getting twisted. being an idol is pretty much trying to survive in the entertainment industry.

  • No, she didn't do nothing wrong, it was bad timing, if the controversy hadn't happened she'd be fine but...

That said, she needs to know better, she must know china-korea relationship isn't the best so the less she mentions china, the better if she wants to avoid these situations in the future. It's sad but it's what it is.

  • Well it's only inevitable! I feel bad for her but I don't know how she watched that cheating match and somehow came to the conclusion that they deserve that medal! lol. sorry, ningning!

She didn't watch it, her teacher told her two of atlethes who won were from her school and she decided to congrat her country along the other countries athletes, it was a nice message and this happened before the cheating controversy made some noise. K-media twisted Ningning messages so she'd get more hate :(

  • Wishing karma can be tricky. Don't wish ill on others, maybe the group you stan will flop less.

Did you see me wishing ill on anyone? Cause last time I checked, I did not. I said *IF* it happened, then it's Karma for Mys. Not Aespa themselves.

As for my faves, sorry, but I'm not a success fan. So long as they do moderately fine and put out good content, I'm good.

And I don't know what happened to my other response to that first commenter so I'm going to repeat myself again since mods seem to be playing blind:

Human beings aren't 2 Dimensional. I can feel bad for Ning Ning and understand what she is going through isn't right and also not feel bad for Mys should if the group popularity be affected by this situation. Aespa and Aespa stans are two different things, so my pls get over yourselves.

  • going to see of Mods going to ignore my responses again.

  • Of course she shouldn't be getting the level of hate shes getting.

Knetz need to step outside and headbutt brick walls.

  • no lol people are crazy if they are cancelling other people for congratulating their own country for winning

  • , but why even risk it?

There's a good chance that they'd be trying to keep their options open in the chinese industry.

    More serious similar incidents involved:

Yiren and Xinjiang cotton despite forced labor claims

Liu Yifei supporting the HK police despite the brutality

There is a small degree of kissing ass here but also they could be shut out of china (usually chinese SM artists go back to china and go for round two)
