why do fans get offended when their faves’ songs are called noise music?

you should not get offended if it is not bad noise music.

Because that term carries a stigma. People associate “noise” as an adjective referring to “bad.”

Think about it. The old saying goes: “That’s not music. That’s just noise.”

The times have changed and now “noise music” takes a different meaning in K-pop. K-pop had its own distinct vocabulary, so traditional meanings are lost. Kinda like how “bias” is supposed to be a bad thing, but it’s great in K-pop.

I have no problem with noise music but there is a certain level of hypocrisy when those groups that are consistently sticking to that sound are never bashed/hated for doing the same type of song because that is what is reeling in fans, but other top groups apply the same exact formula and only they get bashed. (ex cutesy TWICE, BP and BTS) Even Momoland was bashed for doing the same sound that got them popular but never read that same energy for noise nation lovers.

because noise is not music although they are both perceived by our ears

One is pleasant and the other is repulsive

Like fat and thin are both normal states of being, but one is healthy and the other is not

2. because many people lump "noise" together and refuse to acknowledge any depth or creativity in a song if it's a little busier or louder…which is just dumb.

forgot this in my previous comment but I think people would get less offended at the use of "noise" if there existed one word that also originated as a widely-used insult for easy-listening, ultra-commercial songs.
