What to use to make gifs?

have you looked into GIMP? i find that most people use that as a free alternative to photoshop

I have a great suggestion! I like using redketchup.io to make my own gifs from YouTube videos (you'll have to download the video file first though).
Pikachu showed me this and it's so simple and free! You can resize, crop, make your own gifs from videos, etc. with it.
The reason it's better than using ezgif.com is one, you can make a gif from any video how long or big you want the file to be and when you resize it, it doesn't become messed up as easily and the quality of the resized gifs are much, much better.
You can also edit other images.
I think some here have used ezgif.com? What I use isn't exactly cheap, though there may be a trial for it: Adobe Photoshop.

Guys, stop using Photoshop for making gifs, LOL. You're making your job harder. If you want to make gifs with Adobe apps, use Premier Pro, at least.🤣 Or DaVinci Resolve, it's much better and free.
Usually, I use https://gifrun.com. You just need to register for better quality, you can make gifs from YT vids too. If you want to do more with your gifs, you can use Ezgif later.
