They also expect BTS to attend the Grammy's in April

  • I would take the word "break" loosely here. They are all back in the studio working so their vacation is over and isn't extended until March, its just that they have no major/formal group activities until then with the PTD concert in Seoul.

Well I mean, making music is what they love so I wouldn’t necessarily mean that they’re “back to work

oh im not trying to insinuate that making music is just work for them. i just meant that they are no longer on that official vacation anymore because they are recording in the studio for the new album :claps:

I think vacation also ended mainly to prepare for GRAMMYs. They would have planned to rehearse and come here around this time. But they now have to scrap the plan so it leads to having extended "break" so to speak......

  • It's going to be hard to release a new album before the concert.BTS is going to the U.S. to attend the Grammys.

The group BTS, which entered a "long-term vacation" from early December last year, will also have a quiet break this Lunar New Year holiday without any special schedule.

BTS is expected to have a concert in Seoul scheduled for March when he meets fans after his vacation.

According to the music industry on the 29th, the seven BTS members are enjoying their second long-term vacation since the Los Angeles concert last month.

The members open their own Instagram to share their daily lives, such as visiting libraries and art galleries or visiting the beach.

Big Hit Music, the agency, has not announced how long the vacation will continue, but the music industry predicts that it will continue until the concert in Seoul in March.

After the Lunar New Year holiday, there is another month of break before the members gather to prepare for the concert in March and prepare for the stage in earnest.

Big Hit Music announced its long vacation on the 6th of last month, saying, " BTS has communicated with fans through busy schedules last year and this year, and has established itself as a global top artist with brilliant results," adding, "This long vacation will be a time to recharge new inspiration and energy as a creator."

Popular cultural performances have also shrunk significantly due to the COVID-19 Omicron mutation, but the concert in March is reportedly being prepared as scheduled without any changes.

Considering the popularity of BTS, Jamsil Main Stadium in Seoul, which can accommodate more than 50,000 people, is likely to be the venue for the performance. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people currently accommodating the concert hall is up to 4,000.

If the COVID-19 situation does not improve dramatically by March, it means that spectacular views such as the "ARMY (BTS fan) wave" created by more than 50,000 people as at the Los Angeles concert in the U.S. cannot be seen in Seoul.

BTS's last concert in Korea was Jamsil Main Stadium in Seoul in October 2019. For this reason, fans' demand for the first face-to-face concert in two years and five months is greater than ever.

In the music industry, as the capacity of "4,000 people per session" is far from enough to embrace the BTS fandom, it is predicted that the agency will soothe ARMY's disappointment through live online in addition to on-site performances.

Even at the Los Angeles concert, which cost more than 210,000 people four times, 54,000 people per episode, tickets ran out in an instant, causing fans to stamp their feet.

The concert has two performances left from the 3rd to 4th of next month.

As a result, the Seoul concert is expected to have a fiercer ticket reservation war than ever.

Big Hit Music has not yet released specific information on the March concert, but it is observed that it will be an extension of the "Permission To Dance On Stage," which was performed at last year's online performance and Los Angeles concert.

In addition to face-to-face concerts, expectations for BTS's new album are higher than ever, but due to the schedule, it is not possible to release it until the concert in March.

In addition to the concert, BTS is nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category at the 64th Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on April 3 (local time).

They performed jointly with Lil Nas X at the 62nd awards ceremony in 2020, and at the 63rd awards ceremony in March last year, they performed their own hit song "Dynamite" as a candidate, so they are likely to perform hit songs such as "Butter" at this year's awards ceremony.

BTS is expected to move to the U.S. after the concert in March to prepare for the Grammy stage and attend the awards ceremony.

BTS plans to focus on releasing a new album and preparing for a performance that will hold a 'new chapter' after the vacation, his agency Big Hit Music said in a notice last month, so it is expected to speed up its work on the new album after the concert in March.

Big Hit Music has not released specific information on the new album.

However, considering that since the BE album containing Life Goes On in November 2020, Shinbo has released three consecutive English singles, "Dynamite," "Butter," and "Permission To Dance," Shinbo is likely to release a Korean album.

The fact that the Billboard Music Awards, one of the top three music awards in the United States along with the American Music Awards and the Grammy Awards, is held in the United States every spring is also expected to serve as a variable in the BTS schedule.

BTS won three gold medals at the last awards ceremony thanks to the success of "Dynamite," which is certain to be awarded this time because "Butter" topped the Billboard's main single chart "Hot 100" in 10 weeks.

  • Do you guys think BTS will be releasing a new japanese album this year? They always release an album every 2 years

It is difficult to guess what will be their Japanese release this year. You are right that they release a Japanese album every 2 years.

They have had a Japanese release every single year since their debut. They are also releasing 'Best of' compilation albums every 4 years. It happened in 2017 & 2021. Full length Japanese albums every 2 years i.e. 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020. In other years, they have only had single releases.

According to this chronology, they should be releasing full album in Japan this year. The hinderance with releasing another full length Japanese album will be that they don't have any new songs out since their 'BTS, The Best' release. After 2017 compilation album, they had released a mini album and a repackage album so they atleast had some songs to add in 'Face Yourself'.

So now they will have to release a Korean album if they are to release a Japanese album afterwards otherwise I think they will only release a single album for Japan.

What about BE? I don't think there's a life goes on japanese version yet or any of BE's B-sides.

Yeah they might add 4 OT7 songs of 'BE' & 3 English releases. 'Intro' & 'Outro' will make up for 2 tracks. So they might need to release only 2 or 3 Japanese songs.

But I hope Japanese album comes after FESTA. Because if we are to get Korean album before the Japanese album, they will need to release it before FESTA.
