They were in Japan for the majority of the end of last year. They regularly appeared in person on Japanese shows, which they couldn't have done if they were travelling back and forth.

I think it's just good business to trademark anything in countries you know you are going to be marketing and promoting in. It's weird they wouldn't just trademark it at the same time as they did in Japan, but I also don't know Korean laws, so there may be something in that.

I have no idea for sure.

But I could see a requirement of having to actively use a trademark within a certain time period (maybe a year) after it has been finalized.

If they hadn't intended to do anything in Korea before this year, then that wouldn't have made sense.

NMixx is set to debut at the end of February.

So I imagine that if NiziU is going to make a Korean debut it'd be mid-late this year. Maybe sometime June-August

they've had so many activities that it would be impossible for them to fly back and forth during covid pandemic,

they only came back to Korea for some time to mostly focus on filming variety show NiziU Scout

With the amount of Japanese activities they've had, it would not make sense to go through quarantine everytime they had something new to do in Japan.

I believe they spent the most of the second half of last year in Japan.

Everything else (the MVs, the song recordings, the CF shoots) was done before that in Korea.
