fake excitement is very obvious and kills the mood, yes?
fake excitement

depends on the context
if its something the person is genuinely into, it makes sense to be super energetic
if they're super happy and energetic all the time, personally it makes me feel super awkward

caught me red handed. I don't tend to share the same type of excitement but I feel like i'd be a killjoy either way so why not take the chances?

hmm that is troublesome indeed
I've always been straightforward with my "no"s so I cant remember the last time I was in that situation

That actually makes sense. I'm usually happy and often more energetic than others, but not to the point where I'd say I'm brimming with happiness 24/7 or that I'm bouncing off the walls. I save that for when I get really happy about something good that happened recently. Sometimes I've had people in the past before assume I was faking it because of how happy I was, which is why I thought to bring it up (and I'm sure there's also accusations against people like J-Hope and Felix for being so happy and positive all the time and about how that can't possibly be real). Sorry for derailing your thread a bit. To make up for it, I'll answer your original question.
For me, it depends. I'm very gullible (unfortunately, I'm not proud of it), so unless they made it obvious they were faking it, I probably wouldn't notice and would naively be happy along with them. I'd likely figure it out eventually, just weeks after the fact. Again, for killing the mood, it depends. Did they do it to upstage someone else or to rub it in someone's face when they're sad? Then yes, it does. Most of the time, not really, but that's just my personal opinion on the matter, do with that what you will. I'd much rather deal with an extremely happy than an extremely sad person any day (no offense). Have a great day/night!

Oh okay, thanks for clarifying that. I didn't think you were faking, no worries and I'm glad because sometimes I go a bit overboard on my posts/comments.

not about kpop
I got so confused because the quote said it was from me when Selfmate said it. AllKpop must be on something today.
