why in the world would that even matter? it's influenced not a direct copy, that's the point it's NOT supposed to sound exactly like the only two 2000s rock bands u named. There were and are more bands out there
Oh don't worry, didn't think you were implying that. I was just confused because I only knew of RWY and Lover=Loser. If it is purposeful, my guess is it's just to relate to western audiences because of the sound boybands generally have in America/Britain

neverhave not to engage with an obvious troll but rock has many subgenres with vastly different sounds. The early 2000s pop-punk and pop-rock (which I assume timedisplace is referring to) still count as rock whether you like it or not lmao and the influences are very clear in a lot of kpop rock-influenced songs
Kpop always sounds better when it's mixed with rock and performed with a live band.
My only wish is that i would love to see more 80s rock infused in Kpop instead of the post grunge alt rock that we usually see.
