Right now, sales wise they are below 4 or 5 boy groups in 4th gen, and even below Itzy and Aespa. Charts wise they’re not doing good either. Based on their potential, do you think this could change in the future? Taking the top spots in sales from Txt, Enhypen, Skz? Outcharting Aespa? Yg have always had groups leading the generation before, so is it inevitable it will happen again?

They need better management to get there.
Probably.

A group's trajectory is always unpredicable.

The treasure haters in full force posting this ish.Don’t be surprised when treasure hits big right in your faces.

they're perfect in all things, they just lack promo.

It's too late for them. Yg wasted too much time keeping them in the dungeon and yes, the boys might be doing dramas and other activities but it's fandom driven. They are musicians, they need to release music to attract casual listeners and more fans.
Also, they are too big of a group. Nowadays people like the smaller groups. Their music isn't really good either which is a shame since the boys are talented. Their visuals aren't the best too and tbh, they can't catch up to the top leading groups (txt, enhypen, stray kids).
You say stray kids wasn't doing that well during their first years and while yes, that is true, such sudden growth doesn't happen to everyone. Kingdom is the reason stray kids blew up so it's not just a sudden rise in popularity. Tbh out of the upcoming 4th gen bgs i don't see anyone beating txt, enhypen and stray kids. Trainee A had chance but if they debut with Leo then it's not happening

they make zero noise outside their fans

Take a look at BP's members.

Actually, I don't want to be mean or anything, but what blew them up was God's Menu and Back Door as a follow-up, It was clearly they would hit big, when they were able to outsell a standard with a repackage with less versions and only 3 months after.
I bet they would have the same results internacionally with or without Kingdom, but with Kingdom they won a couple of more korean fans so now they are able to chart, that's it.
But yes, I agree the rise had a reason. And Treasure will need that breakthrough song or moment to put them on another level now. It's not impossible, so I don't agree with people here saying they are done. But It's not certain just because It happened to SKZ or other groups. As I said before, every group has its own trajectory and It's unpredicable.

Oh my bad then!
So stray kids had a massive blow up due to amazing song and kingdom promotions. Treasure's music isn't good at all so the more yg keeps giving them that type of sound, the lesser the chance of a breakthrough through song becomes. If they get sent to kingdom they might grow more popular but kingdom itself isn't really that hyped and anticipated anymore

Lol no.
Kingdom's highest rating was 0.5% and international kpop fans had to watch it on Twitch. They earned some kfans, not a ton, but some, that's it.
The international fandom had been rising exponentially since God's Menu, but even between Clé Levanter and Go Live their growth was impressive. And let's not forget there was almost a year between Go Live and NOEASY.

It's Okay!
I saw Queendom 2 was announced, but I didn't see too much hype and female groups always have more interest outside the fandom than boygroups. So I wonder If a Kingdom 2 happen... the hype might be 0.

Yge should've sent treasure instead of ikon to fimilarize Korea with their new group. They need to stop working with whoever pd they're working rn and hire better pds.

We already agreed that skz's growth began earlier than kingdom but you can't deny that kingdom gave them a massive push.
You shouldn't judge by ratings. Look at enhypen and i-land, i-land had low ratings and nobody in korea gave it attention but now enhypen is one of the top 4th gen bgs

I don't think this is a valid comparison. I-land had better publicity and most importantly, a premise that drew people in. Kingdom was designed around already existing fandoms, and was a really boring show otherwise. It tried to squeeze in content about every group but it never had a narrative, it felt like random behind-the-scenes videos cut together, joined by some performances. Not to mention most episodes only featured 3 out of 6 groups. It's simply not a show that draws you in and helps you learn about the groups. I-land on the other hand, had an overarching narrative (which all group-creation survival shows have); some young trainees trying to achieve a dream. It is also the goal of every such show to make viewers sympathize with the trainees, as they don't have fandoms of their own yet. Once again, this wasn't an objective of Kingdom.
Maybe it did give them a small push (especially God's D4) but not a massive one that's for sure.

We are talking about ratings here and it's a fact that i-land had terrible ratings too, that's why I brought it up
There is nothing bad in the fact kingdom gave a big push to skz no matter what your opinion of the show itself is. The boys are talented, they deserve the recognition so they got the push and it's good for them! It's just silly to think only one song's blow up can be the reason of a massive growth. We have so many one hit wonders. Look at momoland, look at others who had one song become extremely huge and then flopped. Kingdom helped skz maintain the hype, expanded their kr fanbase and gained them a big international popularity
-
And I was talking about i-fans. Enhypen had a big start because many i-fans were invested in the show, even though the domestic ratings were low. Kingdom didn't make i-fans who weren't already dedicated fans of a group invested.
But this is literally what happened LMAOOOO

You know how rare it is for a kpop group to outsell the original album with a repackage? Because Stray Kids did that with In Life, and it could happen because God's Menu.
I'll give you one thing, which is that Stray Kids were on the rise between Clé: Levanter and Go Live already. If you were in the fandom at that time, it was obvious their next album would be significantly bigger than the previous ones. However, as I've said before, the growth that followed up Go Live can be only explained by the virality of God's Menu.
The comparison to Momoland is pointless because Momoland had a much smaller fanbase when they blew up, kpop fans didn't know anything about them other than Bboom Bboom. Then they followed up that song with a carbon copy. Stray Kids not only had better known past material, but also were able to keep up interest.
It's hilarious how you insist on their success being due to a show like that. ESPECIALLY their international success.
