Slice of life recommendation?

  • I really loved Rilakkuma and Kaoru. It has a simple yet profound message about life — to keep walking forward regardless of the season, regardless of whatever happens.

Another recommendation, although it's not anime: Terrace House. Six strangers move in and live together, figuring out their individual pursuits and developing bonds with each other.

Gonna check both out, especially Terrace House sounds really interesting. Thank you!

  • I love wholesome animes, most of the popular ones scares me too much ;( and crying on angsty ones is another story ^^

    I can recommend those titles:

Hyouka (my all-time favorite anime <3 it's a mystery anime/high school life, but it feels so much deeper than most of the animes I saw. It's very slow and you can just relax with it. And it's beautifully created by Kyoto Animation Studio, a masterpiece, I will recommend always)

Nodame Cantabile (if you like classical music)

Yuru Camp (beautiful backgrounds, lots of amazing places in Japan... and the food!)

Toradora (high school life, but it was so nostalgic for me - and funny to watch too)

Whisper of the heart (probably the best Studio Ghibli movie imho)

  • I haven't seen it for a while but Kekkai Sensen is a bit of a cool one. It's a SOL placed in an action/scifi world. It does have action/shounen elements but it functions more as a SOL for the most part if I remember correctly with similar pacing

  • I second what he said, especially R&K. It's my go-to comfy show.

Started watching Rilakkuma and Kaoru. I wasn't really sure if I would enjoy it because of the animation style but so far I'm liking the it (and have cried for the first two episodes).
