My 3rd favorite kdrama of all time is The Princess' Man (2011).
It's an old style traditional sageuk epic with young star crossed lovers, dynastic political coups, and grand beauty on and epic scale.
It tells the story of the forbidden romance between a princess and the son of a rival political family set during the real life build up to King Sejo's bloody coup for the Choseon kingdom.
It's basically a Choseon era Romeo and Juliet.
Beautiful, epic, thrilling, romantic, and unforgettable.
My all time favorite historical drama and 3rd favorite all time drama.
My mother cried during it. (I got her to watch it)

I love history so I'm sure i would enjoy historical dramas as well.
