  • Good for them. I'd be more enthusiastic if they came with at least 1 vibey or heartfelt song per album..which didn't happen on the recent album.

  • I'm not familiar with this but ayyyeee! :froghype:

I think it's down to a matter of taste, I personally didn't think there was a quality slip on bsides this year outside of 2M1 and vocal unit songs were lackluster compared to the rest (I want Don't Listen in Secret/Habit/etc.). Do Re Mi wasn't HHU btw, it was the maknae line

Changed the title of the thread from “SEVENTEEN had been named the 1st ever Kpop act for MTV Push!” to “SEVENTEEN has been named the 1st ever Kpop act for MTV Push!”.
  • Yeah, it is a matter of personal taste and I felt like putting it out there.

Nothing on the newest album I can personally play on repeat or add to a longterm playlist. In terms of ballads, the "Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night" was decent but the transition before the chorus was a little shaky (beat wise) to me. I guess the maknae line is my Hip-Hop squad then, especially if they land another smash in the future.

Yeah, and I can definitely see where some of the changes this year would be bad for some fans. I'm not particularly set on one style from them and have always liked all the random changes in style/production/etc. they do and there has been a lot of that in recent years so I can see where people who are displeased are coming from. This year's albums especially have a pretty different vibe and thats probably related with them wanting to start expanding west as they're now involving HYBE producers and foreigners rather than the usual (Woozi, Bumzu, Prismflter, and other members)

Hopefully we get another maknae line track bc they do match well but doubt it unless they decide to do another Semicolon and do age units again lmao

If "Do Re Mi" is a "one off" Hip-Pop track, it's a darn good one. A song that's a big-arse vibe AND has a good message? Kind of rare. The Hip-Hop team needs masterful beat programming like that track on the regular.

I hope they come with some really strong international smashes in the future. Woozi & Bumzu + other foreign producers would be hard to not land more int'l bulleyes. HYBEsha's producers hooked Enhypen up with like 6 R&B leaning Pop songs in their catalog so far..so it's def. possible Seventeen flavors will have more fire eventually.
