Enhypen vs Stray Kids vs TXT - which is going to be the top group

  • Stray kids, Enhypen and TXT are the top 4th gen boy groups right now. They have big international fandoms, they're great at charting internationally, they have the highest album sales, they have the biggest popularity. For now, the competition for the top spot is only between them. Who do you think has the biggest chance of becoming a number one group in the generation and why?

  • SKZ cus they have started far below than TXT and Enhypen, they didn't sell as much as them at debut, and JYP doesn't have successful boygroup record, despite that they have been making name for themselves only through their own produced music, if u see biggest group of 2nd and 3rd gen both are self producing groups that are known for their incredible performances and charismatic aura, this will be continued with SKZ.

  • Enhypen. While yes, currently stray kids and txt are still leading in some categories, enhypen showed growth in their first year that is too fast and too big. They already reached the other two groups sales wise (and surpassed them),fandom size wise, international charts wise and etc, by the end of the next year they would have surpassed everything txt and skz have achieved so far.

No shade to txt or skz, I just think enhypen will dominate

  • Idk, let me pull out my crystal ball. One sec……

But really not sure. Could be Txt since they’ve been growing in popularity at an insane pace, actually they really might have the best shot. Same with Enhypen, blowing up fast. Or SKZ if they continue on with their growth and garner even more international fans.

your truly, xoxo a stay :shyy:

why not just add this to the op to begin with then lol

  • Stray Kids is also growing is an incredible fast pace after they blew in popularity and It's not like they are showing signs they will stagnate anytime soon. I will go with them.

  • I agree with the person saying skz above me and their reasons.

For enhypen I think the growth they showed is really well till now but I'm not sure if they'll be able to take it forward. Imo growth depends on buzz around each of these groups and with their recent cb enhypen has not been appreciated musically a lot. Which was the case for their previous cbs. They also have people tearing them down for their encore videos. If they can comeback with a hit next time then it might Jumpstart their growth but for now I don't see it happening.

Meanwhile for txt and skz their recent cbs were really successful. I think skz are already above txt so there's that.

I'm not a fan of either groups btw.

  • i think 4 gen leading group has not debuted yet

  • the first one to get out of the 4th gen league and actually be able to compete with their seniors

(which i think will likely to be TXT)

  • TXT

or maybe some other group that has not debuted yet

  • I agree with the person saying skz above me and their reasons.

I want to disagree here. Enhypen's new album dimension:dilemma is their biggest comeback so far judging by sales, longevity and consistency of the album on charts (japenese, billboard and etc) and also, people keep praising it and saying that this is the album consisting of the best b-sides of the group.

I agree though that this brighter concept is less liked generally, some people didn't like the title track that much compared to older releases. I hope enhypen sticks to the darker conceprs right now even though it was good to see their versatility. Such bold changes in concept are always hit or miss

  • It is a little too early to tell. I’m an Enhypen stan. I want them to succeed of course. I’m a casual stan TxT and I think Stray Kids are likeable. The three of them can co-exist happily on top. I was never a fan of Kpop until few months ago because of Enhypen in particular Heeseung. In my opinion, DD come back is a success, sales wise and charting wise internationally. It also enables them to showcase a different side of them— i personally like “ Just A Little Bit”. Give it 1 year or two , and we’ll see who will be the number 1 boy group in 4th generation.

This is more what I was talking about generally but I see your point. Honestly at this point they are close enough that a cb being a hit can shake things up a lot so no one can say for sure.

I'll look out for all of them anyway and all are successful rn despite not being the no1 so it hardly matters imo

Enhypen comeback wasn't successful but TXT and SKZ cbs were?! You are delusional.

  • Stray Kids.

They, as a group, just have that it factor*. I've discussed this with many other stays, those who began stanning years ago (before they had the streams and sales) like me, we all felt that they're without a doubt becoming huge soon. It also helps that they're self producing, because fans of self-producing groups tend to be more dedicated from what I've observed. First of all, their music is unique and you can't find something actually similar to it among the other groups of the generation. So if you're into the music they make, you're unlikely to change for another group. Moreover, being self-producing means that concepts are perceived as mere extensions to the artistic expressions of the people fans love, thus the fandom is more open-minded to different kinds of concepts and genres.

Furthermore, the way they grew shows us two things: First, the fact their sales were nowhere near as good at debut as the HYBE' groups', both due to the lack of public recognition for JYPE boy groups and thus a lack of exposure through them, and due to very low promotional efforts from JYPE's side, means their success has to do with SKZ themselves only. It also suggests an exponentially growing, dedicated, secure fanbase that is unlikely to waver. I'd also praise 3RACHA, who have a knack for making music that is able to take them to new heights and serve as the own unique voice of the group.

    * : as I'm writing this I realised that I should elaborate and be more specific before anyone says I'm too subjective so here you go:

  • I wrote that long comment and forgot to add to the part about being all rounders that they have multiple actual aces so yes, that too

  • I think enhypen will dominate for now. Their growth in only a year is truly insane and quite scary.

Stray kids will keep growing and smashing their records but unless they come up with another god's menu hit then their growth will keep to the pace its going now.

For txt, I think they've found their niche and will keep growing too. I don't know if they can grow enough to clearly outpace other 4th gen groups but they'll give everyone a run for their money. I prefer their music out of everyone.

  • txt flopping so hard. They can't even crack 1 million sales when everyone and their mother is doing it.

So i guess it's between enhypen and skz. I'll let them fight that out.

  • No. How did you even come to that conclusion? I said the op is wrong for saying Enhypen cb wasn't successful when they sold more than TXT and people mostly like the song which can't be said about Thunderous.

Still, Thunderous is doing better on Spotify

and Youtube than Tamed-Dashed, gaining more streams on both plataforms daily despite being an almost 2 months older song.

Your researches come from what? Twitter polls and qrts?

I don't have nothing against Enhypen, but you comment was unnecessarily mean.

Don't stray kids use ads on youtube? A genuine question.

Also, Fever by enhypen (a bside) is about to become the most streamed song by a 4th gen group on Spotify this year

  • How did you even come to that conclusion?

At least try to read what you write.

Enhypen comeback wasn't successful but TXT and SKZ cbs were?! You are delusional.

You're very clearly suggesting that you think the two weren't that successful compared to Enhypen's comeback. Don't try to backtrack now.

And even here you're giving this intention of yours away:

when they sold more than TXT and people mostly like the song which can't be said about Thunderous.

Btw, I'm really curious what kind of bubble you live in. I haven't seen anyone praise Enhypen's title track, and hardly see people talk about it at all; whereas Thunderous is well liked by everyone but SKZ antis who proudly admit they haven't even heard their songs; plus it has its own Douyin challenge with 1.2B+ views for the hashtag so many people seem to like the song, sorry ;-)

How was it mean? I set the user who said Enhypen cb wasn't successful straight. Stray Kids' song gains more streams because they have a bigger fandom, I'm talking about all people, casual fans and non-fans included.

  • Don't stray kids use ads on youtube? A genuine question.

They had only two days of ads. When they got a week of ads they'd gain about 20M views, so you can go figure how much these 2 days could add...

And even if you were to distract a few million they'd still have 100M+ views

And other Stray Kids related videos that don't get ads also tend to gain many views quickly. They're popular.

That's why I said "daily", to begin with.

Second, the conversation wasn't about previous release, but each group's last release. So Fever and any other Stray Kids older song has nothing to do with the discussion. Good for them the song is being successful, I hope they have others with the same impact.

  • You're very clearly suggesting that you think the two weren't that successful compared to Enhypen's comeback. Don't try to backtrack now.

And even here you're giving this intention of yours away:

No, you're mistaken. I simply wanted to say that Enhypen cb was successful if SKZ and TXT comebacks are considered such because it was more successful than TXT's one in terms of physical sales and the album also charted in countries TXT hasn't and the title track is more liked than Thunderous.

Btw, I'm really curious what kind of bubble you live in. A lot of people like it. Thunderous' reception is very mixed which even stays here admitted.
